This person signed up yesterday and I got this from them this morning, and wondered if I was the only one.

I didn't get it, but it says that co is in LA and TX. Wouldn't use it, (even if it weren't a spam!) because of this: http://www.paghat.com/rubbermulch.html If they get one gardener to use it, they got too many!! ~ Suzi :)

Calalily, I've not got that one, but I did get some other one sending me to their gardening plant trading web site, in Germany or something like that. It was writen in a foreign language too LOL

I was the only one he sent to according to staff here.

I was thinking about this, maybe you should post note in TX forum, asking others there if they got it too, since they would naturally direct it to where they do their deliveries. ~ Suzi ♥

Suzi, I will post a link over there. I was so agrivated that someone would send me a link to fake mulch that I didn't read much of the info on the site. I use mulch that's going to improve my soil and encourage worms, not stuff that's going to linger in the soil forever!

Susie, yes I did get one. He/she even said that they are in Spring (which is close to me.)

The USDA should step in here. How does one report stuff like this to them (for all it's worth)?

That's true. You are not supposed to use DG for advertising. If that were allowed this site would be a madhouse. Many of the members are self-employed and would jump at the chance to advertise. The screen would be so full of ads, it just wouldn't be fun any more. I am self-employed also and need to advertise, but DG is where I play and I don't want to mix my work with my play.

I got one too, and I thought it was rather strange to try to sell rubber mulch to gardeners, I also did not like that this person did that, so I just deleted the email.

Yep, I got it but didn't bother to look at it. I did think I didn't like getting SPAM via Dave's tho.

Well if he or she is in Spring, Tx... I would sure like to know where...seeing that my family has been there since the 1800's and I am very protective of my home. I do like it when people of a questionable backround use the name of my Town or State in shady enterprises......Sorry, but I am very proud to be from Spring and Very proud to be from Texas...

I saw this ad in the plantfiles while I was looking up plants. It's polluted the site!

They aren't in Gardenwatchdog, maybe we should add them and then tell them how we feel about their spam!

Songbird, did you see the add in a proper place to see an ad or in the comments or images section of the PF. If the ad is in an incorrect place please let us know in the PF helpdesk with a link to the entry/ies it's in :)

While I agree that the email is spam, I'd like to suggest we wait for Dave's comments before getting stuck into them in the Garden Watchdog ;)

A few people reported this to the helpdesk (via the "Contact Us" link) on Friday and I handled it there.

This isn't an isolated incident; it has happened before and it'll probably happen again. It's best to just ignore it, rather than bring more attention to this guy and his product.

txgrdngeek, the address '18939 Cypresswood Forest Ct.' (on their website) is a private residence in a housing development. It is less than two miles west of US 45 (Hwy 75)
