Report back what you find!! I love that tour. My favorite there is East Bay Nursery on San Pablo.

I was going to say good morning to your brug but no name!! Have you thought of one yet?

Harlem, GA(Zone 8a)

Oh Cool!!! Have fun you ladies :-) Heyyyyyyyyyyyyyy take the camera with!

:-)
Hugs
Julie

Harlem, GA(Zone 8a)

Kell you should go with them

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

I have to work, Julie. But it would be much more fun to play nursery!!

Harlem, GA(Zone 8a)

Awwwwwwwww Kell, you don't have any grands to play nursery with? It's so much fun, almost as fun as growing brugs lol...I'm sure they'll take lots of pics for you and all of us to enjoy :-)

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 9a)

Very pretty Margie.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

LOL Julie, I was talking about playing plant nursery. But no, no grands and I best not have any for awhile. LOL

So Margie, find anything exciting?

Norwalk, IA(Zone 5b)

Great flower and as always great pics! :-)

Northern California, United States(Zone 9a)

Margie took more pictures than I did. We loved East Bay, I only got a couple of plants there but the pot combos were inspirational, (see below, my goal for next year as these are now my colors!) We found more at Berkeley Horticultural and the the best at Annie's Annuals. (By the way, in this month's Horticultural magazine, besides the brug article, it also has a great article on Annie's Annuals)

Sue that is beautiful!!!

San Jose, CA(Zone 9a)

Well, I am back again...I was tired out yesterday from our adventure on Friday!!! I am not quite as young as the gals I went with and it is showing!!!

Here is a photo of Sue and Tracy at the Annies Annuals...with our wagons full of plants. Actually I bought very little as I have so many plants still in black nursery pots I just couldn't get myself to want more...which is very unusual for me! I did get 2 dark, almost black coleus and 3 fuschias...I have not had good luck with fuscias and wanted to try again...

kell...we would love to have you join us sometime! We probably pass right by you and could pick you up! That way we could meet you in person too!

I was thinking about a name today for my first sdlg...I don't know if it is conceited or not...but I would really like to have my name in there somewhere...so I was thinking of "Margie's Delight". I haven't talked to poppysue, so I don't know if she would have any objections.

Here is my treasure on her last days....all pollenated up, so we shall see if she has any off-spring!

Just so you know, I am holding Margie's cart with the 4 plants. Tracy (lilystorm) had 2 carts full (she's in the middle of a relandscaping project) and I had one cart full. Just waiting for cool down so I can plant. Doesn't look like that's happeneing anytime soon so keeping busy with the watering.

Love the name Margie!!

Beautiful!!! I need to do some shopping. I have not seen anything like this in Tennessee.
My son is wanting me to move to L.A. I may just have to join him.

Thank you all for looking and for your great comments!!! I am still in heaven...only the last 2 blossoms left on "Margie's Delight"....I will label her well & find out what to do next to trial her for introduction....

I still have to see what her 3 siblings will do...and see if any of the pollen took that I put on her...thank you kell for sharing your special pollens with me! You are a real treasure!!! :-))

Margie, now, when did you plant her seeds or how old is she??? If she was planted this year, you deserve yet another encore. Hey, if you get another beauty, you can name her Margie's Encore...

San Jose, CA(Zone 9a)

Sherry...I planted the seeds not this past April but April of 2004 !!! This is the first bloom! I like the name you selected for my next one! Thank you!!!

SE Arky, United States(Zone 8a)

Thanks!!! I cannot wait till others in her litter bloom, wouldn't it be great if they are all 'champions'!!!!!

Ellicott City, MD(Zone 7a)

"Margie's Delight" is the perfect name for this beautiful seedling!

Looks like Tracey & Sue did some damage at Annie's Annuals. I've shopped at her website. Maybe the next time I'm in your neck of the woods, I'll add that Nursery to my shopping list. You know my list is only going to keep growing! Stopping at Chalk Hill is a definite!!!

San Jose, CA(Zone 9b)

Margie's Delight is sooooo lovely. I don't know how I missed this thread, but it was so worth finding! Wow, Margie, you must still be beaming! What a great outcome for your first bloomimg seedling. You have the Midas touch! Ok, I am truly inspired to give Brug seed growing another try. No trips away from home this time!

Congrats again to you and Sue. She's AWESOME!

San Jose, CA(Zone 9a)

Thank-you Angela! She is my favorite of all of my brugs!!!

Portland, OR(Zone 8b)

Margie, now that is one hot looking brug. You really lucked out with that one! Congrads. I can see why she is your favorite.

San Jose, CA(Zone 9a)

Thank you Emily...actually besides being the most beautiful brug I have...she is also one of the most prolific! I am hoping she will have a second flush yet this year!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

It is so much fun having this one back on the first page. She is really a stunner!! So elegant!!!

Hey Margie, I have some pollen from a hot euro brug if you have any more blooms coming. I was hoarding it but I can share a bit.

San Jose, CA(Zone 9a)

Thank you kell...I will let you know if I get any more blooms...or should I say when, not if! That would be great to try with her!

San Jose, CA(Zone 9b)

I just had to come back for another look, Margie. She really is delightful! (Sorry, I have my Dad's sense of humour!) She really is incredible.

Is she scented?

San Jose, CA(Zone 9a)

:-))) Thank you again! Yes, she was scented, but right now don't ask me the characteristics of it! I will let you know if she blooms again! And you can come over and see what you think of her!
