A visit with Brugie

While driving back to Texas from a vacation in North Dakota, my daughter and I stopped to visit with Shirley (Brugie) in Iowa. What a pleasure it was to finally meet her, and what a lovely place she and hubby have on the outskirts of town. I could have stayed there for weeks just listening to the birds, eating her coffee cake and enjoying her hospitality....

Thanks for everything, Shirley...hopefully I can make this an annual visit..

Hey Kris.....I was just told that you were talking about me here. LOL! I rarely find time to come to this forum, so to the person who told me...Thanks. It was great to have you stop at the house. I wish you could have stayed longer, but I do understand that the last leg of the trip home can get way too long when we are anxious to get there...unpack...and again live in our own home. We enjoyed the rolls you forgot to take with you. Maybe another trip north you can stop by and spend a little more time. I enjoyed meeting both you and your sweet daughter, Sandy. It was a day that I'll long remember. I do wish we had more flowers in bloom when you were here and of course, the weeds would have looked better at another location....but the best part is that you didn't have to sit out here in the heat that we are having now. OMG....it has been horrible. 9 AM right now and it is already 84 degrees. So...the day was the perfect one for you to stop and visit. Let's do it again.
