Will hunt WV up for you Shirley
Will you send a postcard?
I'm sending a postcard of Mt. Rainier from Washington. My husband and I love to go there-- snowshoeing in the winter and hiking in the summer! And in the words of my uncle, the wildflowers in the meadows in August are "the closest thing to heaven" one can experience here on earth! It's certainly a landmark here.

I just want to say again that you guys are so terrific. I hope when you see the finished project that you will know how much your efforts are appreciated.
Mine finally went out today, Sheila.
shuggins, I'm really looking forward to seeing that photo. Thanks for all the nice feedback too.
Did you get some from Utah??
Alaska post cards went out today!
We are getting really close!!!
Oregon went out yesterday. I forgot where I put it in the car on Monday so... sorry.
Carol
Update please..... Did they get them all?
We ended up missing a couple. The daycare is still trying to get all of them arranged so that I can take the picture. They are still astounded at the number of cards sent on behalf of my kids. I promise I will post the pic as soon as they get them up.
Thanks again. You guys are great!
Sheila
which states are they missing?
This is the states that they say they have not received. If you are from that state and sent one, please let me know and I will ask them to look again.
Delaware
Illinois
Indiana
Michigan
Minnesota
New Hampshire
W. Virginia
Wyoming
I really do appreciate everyone's help.
Thanks,
Sheila
Sheila,
I was working on Minnesota...through my sister who lives there. It was around the time they were leaving on vacation. I'll check on it!
Sheila, My grandmother lives in WV, I"ll call her and ask, I"m sure she will send one :)

Wondering how this turned out, did the kids get them all or close?
Me too. maybe it was in a different thread?
I am so sorry. I thought I had posted this a long time ago, but guess that's what I get for thinking.
My boys were almost the only ones to get anyone to send a postcard and they got like 48 of the 50 states, even the really hard ones. I can't remember which ones were missed. The daycare was completely impressed that so many people were willing to help out with their project.
Again, I thought I had posted the update, somehow missed it.
I really do appreciate all of the trouble that everyone went to and can't tell you how excited my boys were to be recognized for all of "their" hard work.
Thanks again,
Sheila
That's really great Sheila. :)
I am so glad that they were proud of 'their' work! LOL
I am a bit curious what the 'hard' states are. Geographically far, sparse population?
If I remember right, it had to do more with sparse population than it did with the actual distance. Of couse, we can all tell how my memory is so, I could be wrong.
Thanks for the update...glad your boys did well in this project...I'll bet they were excited getting all those postcards in the mail!
