and I am hanging her pics up in front of my Padre and saying "see her's are blooming - why can't you?" hoping it will enourage them to follow suit! But no pressure. :)!
It's 8PM - Do you know where your buds are? PART TWO
LOL, Candy and Dagchelbo! Thanks so much for the compliments. I hope you guys get lots of flowers this spring. I think Padre is confused right now. We are having the coldest nighttime temperatures yet this week. It got down to 35 for about an hour last night. These are the last of the buds that I can see, but if I look really closely, I can see little tiny hairy buds coming from some of the other epi's, and those are probably the flowers which will come in the spring hopefully.
We had 60 degr. F the last couple of days!!!
I went checking in on my Epis in the garage, they are doing fine. Gave them a small drink and told them to go back to sleep!
I was hoping the 60 degree weather would trick the plants into thinking it was spring but unfortunately they aren't fooled but the daffodils are. looks like they are so confused they are starting to pop out in the garden and my adenium has a bud forming but the epi's are doing nothing but growing "arms" and I want "what Clare is having"!
Ok I will stop whining! :)
LOL, Ursula and Dag! I have freesias buds coming up at the moment, but it is cold here at night. I think it was another night that dipped into the 30's, and now there is wind today. It's always something! LOL!
Bump:-)
Very nice pics, Tom! Yours are way ahead of mine. Mine are just starting to form teeny buds and won't bloom for another month probably.
Sorry, I should have clarified, those are from last year, just hadn't had a chance to share them here yet. We're all tucked in for the winter here and I probably won't see epi blooms until May.
I'm just missing the growing season. :^)
- Tom
Yeah, me too:-) It will probably be April or May until I see blooms too. I can see lots of buds forming now though, which is great. My Epiphyllum crenatum is covered this year:-)
