Bumped up for jenlee.
BTW, I dug up several of these for neighbors earlier this season, and I still have 83 blooms on the larger clump this year, and about 30 on the smaller clump...and i am still TOTALLY in love with it!!!
Ignorant me...
Jamie, I suspect your lily is an LA because of the later bloom time (and price, yikes!). Same for you Sequee, Royal Sunset IS an LA. Search through photo galleries of LAs to try to ID Jamie's.
Those are gorgeous!
LA?
I really dig your lilies, Sequee. They are so beautiful! I sure would love to have some of your plants. Thanks for sharing the pics.
LA = Longiflorum/Asiatic cross
LAs have the same form as asiatics, but the blooms are typically larger with more substance. They also bloom a bit later than the asiatics.
Thank you for the definition - it's always nice to know what one has. The clump is just stunning. People stop to admire the smaller clump on the border of the property, then they spot the one on the interior and make such wonderful comments. (But I don't think anyone admires them more than me. LOL!)
