Book Swap Forum

I had mentioned this before but DG was going through some changes and couldn't accept new forums at that time. I think there were 2 threads where we swapped books. The premise is easy. I post a book I have read and am willing to part with. (currently "Catch-22"). Someone posts that they want it and what they have to swap. After each person has read the book they received, they simply post it again and swap it with a new person. So no postage is ever necessary. If a person wants to keep the book they received, then they just post another one they already own to swap.
What do you all think?

I've wondered this same thing but I doubt Dave would start a forum for it..might be a good thread somewhere like the Parking Lot though.

If the Media forum was reinstated, book swap threads would fit right in there.

What happened to the media forum? It would be fun to discuss movies and books there and yes, have a swap thread. Or could we not call the forum, Media and Book Swap?

I would love to participate in a book swap. Please let us know if we get a "permanent" home for this thread somewhere else. I have lots of books!

Maybe a different name for the forum would have helped. We had two or three, and Media was the last one. I wonder if people thought it was a forum for the press. I'd love to see a spot specifically for the discussion of books, movies, TV, music, etc.

I wonder if Entertainment forum would be a good name, should it be reinstated. That would cover magazines, books, movies, TV, music, live concerts, etc.

I sure have a lemony snicket DVD that needs a home where it would be better appreciated :) LOL
