Get your telescopes and binoculars ready
Wow ! Let's keep up to date on this and would appreciate all your knowledge and comments on the subject ... Thank You Rose.
Thank you for that, I'll be looking. NASA sent a probe to blow up a comet on the fourth of July. We MIGHT be able to see the comet. Here's some more info.

Ooooh, all this cool stuff. And I thought seeing the Thunderbirds fly around on Sunday was a big deal. :)
ok cool we have a huge tele~ its a bear to haul in and out but its so cool to see the sky! have seen Jupiter really good!!!!!
Thank you Rose for the heads-up. My Questar has an adapter for the 35mm Olympus but not digi-cam. I will post the best I get. Waiting for NASA results of blasting a comet. And Discovery's liftoff, uneventful hopefully.
Your all welcome glad to find others that think this stuff is cool..... My family just thinks I am wierd or should I say knows I am LOL. Will keep you posted if I find any more info. Going to Mobi's site now.

Help! A friend sent me an email about this, then other people told me it happened two or three years ago. If it still out there for this year I WANT TO SEE IT!!!! Has it already happened or is it still coming?
tgif, I was just wondering the same thing. I got that same email and then I was told this happened a couple of years ago. Maybe we should check out snopes.com.
Hope this link works:

Thanks mgh
Your link worked, I got the same e-mail. Boy I wish people would check things that they forward a little closer. One less event happening in Aug. Still keeping our fingers crossed that we'll see a shuttle launch this month now that we live in central Fl.
Tim.
Thanks all I did some research this weekend and found the same thing. I should know better then to post something before I investigate sorry. The only reason I didn't is the friend that it came from is very into stargazing boy am I ever going to give her a hard time. Sorry for the misinformation.
Sandy
Sandy,
That's okay, anyone can make a mistake. Maybe I will remember to look in Oct, since sorta close then and view size will be 80% of the Aug 2003 view. ~ Suzi :)
