Will be out of commission for a few days.

I think all of my trades are done. I will be done for a few days, maybe a week or so. I have MS and my flare is just terrible , so I will be doing IV's here at home for five days. Not certain of the side effects so not sure if I will be able to get on the computer. Please keep me in your prayers. These are new drugs for me immugloblin? not sure how to spell it but the seroids didn't work so here we go again! Have a great week and please think of me, in bed wanting to be planting!

Janet, Hi from Ky. Never talked to you before, but I just wanted to let you know that I will be thinking of you and praying that the flare is short lived. I have lupus, and believe me I know what they can be like. Just stay strong, it will be over soon. Take care

Greetings from Ohio, Janet! I'll keep you in my daily prayers both for the immunoglobin to work and for you to be encouraged. Thank you for letting us know!

Janet so sorry to hear this. My wife Bobbie also has MS. She has had both the steriods (twice) and also the immuglobin last summer. The immuglobin made her blood pressure go up which is a side affect, and they had to quit during the second day of treatment. Sure hope it works for you. The steriods really helped her the first time she had them but the second time she had a urinary tract infection and almost died from it. The steriods we found out makes any infection really get worse than it would ordinary be. They were going to give her steriods again a couple weeks ago until they discovered she had a respitory infection. She takes several medicine for the MS. Co-paxon, amantidine, Neurontin, and one that isn't approved by the FDA as yet called APH-4. We really can feel for you and what you are going through. Our thoughts and prayers will be with you. How long have you had MS?

Any one heard from Janet?

Santiago, Chile(Zone 9b)

I have seen her posting on other threads and stating she seems to be tolerating this treatment quite well.

Glad to hear that.. may she be better every day..

Thank you soooo much. The terrible headache that came with this new med has seemed to subside today. I have tolerated the treatments pretty well. They said it may be a couple of weeks before we know if it is going to really improve how I feel. I am very hopeful. I was diagnosed last year and have been using copaxone as well. I am changing to Beta-Serone this week. The Copaxone did not work for me. Most likely I have had had MS for at least twelve years. It has just been diagnosed as a dozen other things until last year. I wish your wife luck as well. I hope you have really good insurance too, I am so blessed with my insurer being so good. Thanks everyone for your prayer, I truly believe in the power of prayer. I did have a couple of days of high blood pressure, and hense the headaches, but they seem to have gone for now! God bless you all and thanks again!

I'm a little late to this thread but wanted to say I'll be thinking of you !!

One of my brothers has MS and he has a terrible time with insurance and his medications.

Just remember to take one day at a time and it's a little easier to get thru !!!
