new Dave's Garden News link...

N., CA(Zone 9a)

Love it!

Ewing, KY(Zone 6a)

I like it too. It's real handy being right there on the tabs. I also like that it's a place where Dave can keep us update on things going with DG.

Conroe, TX(Zone 9a)

Excellent!!

Valinda, CA(Zone 10a)

Wouldn't it be nice if the tab changed color when Dave updates the body of the news section and we have not yet read it?

Spokane Valley, WA(Zone 5b)

Kewl idea, George!!!! I like it. :)

Valinda, CA(Zone 10a)

Go get Urich to champion the idea. He has great success!

*giggles at George, then quickly hides before Ulrich shows up*

Manhattan Beach, CA(Zone 11)

Tadah! You guys sure are observant; I would have never noticed the addition.
I second George's kewl idea, with small brightly flashing bursts of color. The big ones in the Web ads are too annoying.

Getting back to George's comment, I think that Dave should change the tab color with these additions:

Alternately flash "News" and "Ulrich" as the text portion of the tab until Ulrich reads it. *giggle*

Seriously though, the flash indicator would work even better than a date stamp on the actual screen 'cause folks would be tempted to click on the flash to make it go away (and thus have a fleeting chance to see what's new). ;)

My suggestion to Dave for future updates is to have a hyperlink appear on the homepage that there is new news from him (not just the daily newsletter, of course). Once you click on it, the hyperlink goes away the next time you visit the Home tab.

Benton, KY(Zone 7a)

I like the news feature....it's needed.

No. San Diego Co., CA(Zone 10b)

Good idea, Terry. Thanks for the new feature, Dave!
