I do read trees and shrubs, but it seems too broad and you would have to dig down a page or two usually to find a JM reference.

YES..... and the forum should address sdpecifically what varieties of Japanese Maples grow in what zones. If you look at most forum sites MOST questions come back to DOES THIS VARIETY (SPECIES) GROW IN MY AREA and what type of protection is needed for successs...mine's dying mine's dead leafs look bad yatayatayata.I live in central Il and would like to know what species grow well here and offer what I have found in the ones I have grown
