Birthday list and deceased members

Dave,

I just noticed JCF's birthday would have been today, for she's on the list of June 20th birthdays. Is there a way the e-mail feature could be disabled or some notation be made on known-deceased members' pages? It could be very distressing for a family member to get e-mails intended for their deceased loved ones. When I worked in a large mail order call center, we frequently got calls when new catalogs mailed - people who received catalogs in a deceased family members' name, especially. And that was when we had no idea the person had passed away.

I agree. It was quite disconcerting to see JCF on the birthday list this morning.

Thank you Dave. I believe I had mentioned something like this when we started the memory garden and I, too, was sad when I saw her name on the birthday list. It would be nice if we could put next to their name "In memory". That could be come up next to their name on everything. That way people would know to check out the Memory Garden and there they can read the memorials that we've given them. Just a thought, Kathy
