Feedback

I went to post another feedback for a DG person that I had received something earlier in the year. I can't post a feedback for the items I just received from this person. It just shows the old feedback.
How do I do another feedback?

When you click on their member page the fourth bullet says:

Sorry Terry not trying to interfere here but Carol I don't think the system will let you add another feedback for a person if you have already left one. You can however edit the one you have already left to add more to. You could add something like Another trade on such and such date and whatever you want to say.

Ahhh, thanks Mystic!!! I didn't catch that it was additional feedback ;o)

So you can only really leave one feedback per person?
That doesn't seem right. If you trade, postage, etc. with the same person time after time, you should be able to say something new.

But Terry, you might want to change this. What if you had a good and bad deal and you want it noted. Like they were good at seeds but not plants.

As Mystic said, I think you can add an update - please let me know if you find that's not true.

And please bear in mind the feedback system was put in place to cast a very bright and hot light on bad traders, so our DG trading community can tell each other when there's a problem in our midst.

That may be strangely and uncharacteristically negative of how we normally operate, but after watching good traders get burned by scam artists who come in and quickly rip people off, then ride off into obscurity, we finally felt it was necessary to give our users the ability to "sound the alarm" when a bad apple has found its way into the barrel.

Long story short, positive feedback is good (and appreciated); but not absolutely necessary. Lack of feedback shouldn't be a warning sign. But lots of negative feedback should be a big, honking warning sign.

So THAT'S what happened!

Ok, Terry. I didn't realize that the feedback was more or less for the bad guys.

That is so good to know!! I was really stressed that I had only a few ratings, but now knowing that it's more to be used as a red flag, I feel much better. Thanks for explaining!
