I am so close to you Kristi, If I don't make the time to visit you this summer, don't ever speak to me again!!!
I Love all the pics! Got a few of your crosses doing well! Just can't remember the names right now!
Pull up a chair and have a seat....
Kristi, it looks like paradise.
As always,I wish I were kicking back in your yard!
Someday ..... if I can ever achieve half of that look, I would be happy!! I have a long ways to go ...!! I always enjoy the photos of your yard.
That is so totally gorgeous...I can picture us all sitting around sharing gardening stories there. Thank you so much for sharing.
Blessings,
Carolyn
Congratulations on a lot of hard work, well done. Your patio and pool area are gorgeous, there is nothing better is there? Mikey
You do a fantastic job Kristi, it's more beautiful every time I see it!!!

Beverly

You've created EDEN!
Bonnie
Your garden is gorgeous! I have to go back and look again. You should be very proud of yourself.
I like what you said....
" I've also learned over the years that sometimes more is just more, not better."
I am trying to learn this too! There is a point to say stop! I have enough...whether painting a watercolor or decorating a garden. Yours shows your attitude....Lovely!
Kristi -- I've said it before and will again! Your garden is gorgeous, as are your photographs, and you should be in a national home and garden magazine. Very well done!!!
Home and Garden is on the way for sure. So relaxing and beautiful. You should be very proud of your hard work.
Amen to all the above positive comments.
You should be very proud of your accomplishment.
Judy

I think we should have a North East Round up on your patio...LOL
Absolutely stunning!!
Relaxed me just looking at your photos.
Thanks
Toni
Have I told you all that I LOVE YOU? You guys are great. :) Round up at my house great idea CC....
Here I am, back looking at your lovely pictures and beautiful yard. It just looks so cool and refreshing. Keep posting those pictures!
wow, my garden is jealous of your garden! Remember those old bumper stickers people would put on an old beater car that said 'my other car is a Rolls Royce'? Well, I need a garden sign that says 'My other garden looks like Kristi's' LOL It must be so nice to relax there after a long day, it is beautiful.
Rachel
good one ButterQueen LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Is the large mound with pale blue dangling flowers (behind all the pots) a clematis? It is stunning, just like everything else.
Funny, butterqueen!!
Too cute Rachel... :) It has a long way to go before that LOL.... NoH2O it is Clematis x durandii. I planted it there so it could shade the Japanse maple. I wish the blue was more intense, it's a little washed out.
Phil- how close are you to Philly? If you have nicer plants I'm coming to your house. LOL- do you cook?
Root- when you come be sure to bring your wife, I know she cooks.
Datdog, I just planted Clematis x durandii last fall and mine is now blooming. It is a deep navy/purple with cream stamens. The blooms do not face down like yours do. Mine look like this: http://home.online.no/~frosholm/bilder/x-durandii.jpg
I actually prefer the look of yours; I thought yours might be Clematis vitacella 'Betty Corning' which I have been wanting. http://www.clematis-nursery.co.uk/BETTY%20C%20INT.jpg
Kristi,
I am 10 mins from Philly, I probably don't have nicer plants than you, and I do cook!
: )
Grab him quick Kristi. If he'll cook, look at all the time you'll have to play outside with your plants!
Kristi,
I just loved the 5th picture above a lot better than the others... for its different shades of green. I must say you have made a paradise. I sometimes imagine myself having a stroll in such places, even though they are half way round the earth. It is just fascinating to be there, electronically! How I wish I could physically peek in there!
Dinu
DatDog,
You said:
meltn- I over winter them in the garage in a dormant state. When I take them out they just go nuts and some start to bloom right away. I have two Golden Ladies and both are at the same stage of bloom- I did find that odd. I'm surprised this season that anything is blooming. I've not fed them or added any new soil to the pots. It was COLD up until two weeks ago.
Do you check that they don't dry out during the winter?
Thanks,
Dave
Oh, I'm so happy this got bumped up. It was one of my favorite threads last year. And I'm still in love with the patio view! Kristi, I hope you post more pics this year!
I would have NO problem at all sitting on your porch reading a book. It is gorgeous!!!!
WOW!! So glad this got bumped up. Everything is just beautiful, and gives me inspiration. Would love to see this year's pics.
Sharon
I'm sorry if I inconvenienced you with my bump (but it’s a delightful thread !).
I’ve gotten my answer - water sparingly.
Beautiful !
Dave- sorry I didn't get back to answer your question. My mom has been in town and I spend every waking moment with her. I wish we lived close to each other- she's a mom and a best friend in one... She just left for the airport. :( But I regress- I do water but do lose many because I don't water enough, or forget to water all together. I hate wintering over plants...
Thank you everyone for all your nice comments. I'm working on getting some pots going but it's been very cool temps and nothing wants to grow much. I'm also cutting back some of my potted plants because of travels plans this summer. I'll update with pictures when things start to look a little less ratty.
Kristi
I am with you Brinda, a favorite thread for sure. Sounds like you had a fantastic visit with your Mom, Kristi. Where does she live? I bet she was so thrilled with her grandkids.
What ever happened to that pup you had that I fell in love with? Did you get to keep him? I hope so.
Your yard is so great, I bet it will be so hard to leave it while you travel. But travel is so much fun! I am going to do some too, I guess. My DH is hot to go, not me so much. I am a homebody.
Photo of the day!!!
Hey Kristi! I am off Next Fri through Mon. Do you have a free day? I would love to come visit again!
The Petasites is doing wonderfully, the Rice Paper Plant is threatening to take over, and there is one little Rex Begonia coming back from the ground!
I am glad you had time to spend with your mom!!!
