They are fantastic! You are so lucky to be able to grow tropical plants in your almost perfect weather. Thanks for sharing.

This is a Pink Beauty seedling that just bloomed. I've never had a seedling before that wasn't white! The difference that I can see is that the narrow part of the corolla isn't covered by the calyx, and the flowers hang straight down instead of turning upwards like Pink Beauty does. It may be a cross between Pink Beauty and Ecuador Pink, which is right next to Pink Beauty.

I forget which one this is. It is either Melon Kisses or Spring Peach:

Isen't there a law against having so many blooms at one time???

Its all gorgeous
and I'm sitting here with my ICU brugs.......
pity por por me
LOL

Do your neighbors encourage the brugs to come up and over the fence???

Ventura, United States(Zone 10b)

LOL, Blaine! Thanks for the compliments everyone.

LOL, CC! The other side of the brick wall is still on this property. I did give my elderly grumpy neighbor a Charles Grimaldi, and it looks like she is getting lots of blooms from it, but she likes mine too; although, I know she doesn't like it when the spent buds drop on her side so I try to keep them picked up. I've had to cut a lot of trees and bushes back because she does complain when branches come over to her side.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Clare, your brugs are very pretty. It's too bad you don't have very many blooms though. LOL!

Ventura, United States(Zone 10b)

LOL, Shirley! Thanks!

Knoxville, TN(Zone 7a)

Beautiful blooms, Clare! And it must smell heavenly at your place right now!!!

Grass Lake, MI(Zone 5a)

Beautiful Clare ....

Ventura, United States(Zone 10b)

Thanks, all. Nat, it does smell great in certain sections. The brugs combined with my white Bouvardia create a sensational fragrance.

Here's Rosabelle, Goldtraum, and B. suaveolens variegata all hanging out in a corner together. I don't know why Rosabelle is so floppy. It might be that she has been in too much shade.

Wow Clare! Those are just beautiful.

SE Arky, United States(Zone 8a)

Being in zone CA, with your green thumb and digital talent is a real treat for me here in Arky waiting on blooms. I figure you have more blossoms in this thread than I will see in person for a couple of years. I dunno. I could luck up but mercy me, yours are just perfection!! Can you tell a difference in colors, more or less vibrant?? Your rose is a real beauty too...

Harlem, GA(Zone 8a)

Clare, you have such a great selection and they are so beautiful! I love them all, gorgeous! Thank you so much for posting and sharing them with us. I adore that rose, it's gorgeous.

Hugs

Thank you Terry, Sherry, and Julie:-)

Sherry, you are too kind. I bet you will see lots more blooms this summer than what I have showing here. About the colors, people in areas with lots of humidity seem to have darker, richer colors than I do. Even though I'm only 10 miles from the ocean, it is still fairly dry here. My Pink Beauty, Rosabelle, Butterfly, and Cupid's Blush are all a light pink. My yellows are nice and dark, but I don't get them to fade to a rich orange really. I bet that even my HG was lighter when it bloomed than others got in a more humid environment. This picture is about as dark as it got.

Hugs back, Julie.

Hey lady, you have the nerve to complain about the color fo HG? LOL I have had 2 for 3 years and finally got buds last year just to have them drop.
And you got big blooms! LOL

All your pictures are fantastic Clare. So pretty! I can't believe that canopy you have on Pink Beauty. It is amazing that single straight trunk can hold that canopy of blooms up. All of your brugs are so healthy! I am glad you have had no more trouble!

I love the rose too! LOL. THANKS CLARE!!!

Harlem, GA(Zone 8a)

Clare, wow, she's gorgeous, I love the orange color on HG and she's so frilly and flippy :-) Nice recurve!

LOL, Kell! I know I'm a brat!

It's funny that you should say that "It is amazing that single straight trunk can hold that canopy of blooms up." The single trunk is thick and solid, but some of the branches are being weighed down by the flowers. I was out the door before 6:00 a.m. this morning only to see that my Pink Beauty tree pruned itself in the middle of the night. A huge branch was on the ground. The tree still looks fine, and I can't even find where the branch fell from! It is blooming like crazy, but some of the branches don't look all that healthy. There are rings inside the wood, and I have to find out what that means exactly and if that is bad. I don't see any marks typical of SB, but there are parts of the bark that are distorted and very nobby, split, and woody.

Thanks, Julie;-)

Kell, if it makes you feel any better about HG, I have three plants and only got two blooms last fall!
