Seeing the Programming...

Dave, I just got this (there's more, just copied a tad) when accessing a page. I got it a lot in the past few days but this is the first time since you made the changes today. (I put spaces in so you'd see what I see.)

Where exactly were you when you saw this?

Hi Dave & Darius,
Hope you don't mind me jumping in...
I have had something similar happen twice & took a screen shot once. This happened April 23rd as you can see. I took out my password but other than that the screenshot is exactly as I saw it. The other time the information was more like what Darius saw.
Hope this is useful to you.

Yes, that helps a lot!

Dave, I think I was in the Wildlife Forum, probably the Cattle Egret thread. I wish I knew how to do a screen shot on a Mac... I never even thought about it. I'll pay close attention if it happens again.

angele's screenshot helped, but if you see it again please do capture (if possible).

I take it you haven't seen it much since?

dave

Nope, but as I said, it has usually been the Wildlife Forum and I haven't been there today.

(I did look up how to do a screen shot on my Mac, though.)

Thanks!

Just had another one of these. It happened at castvote.php after I submitted a vote at the voting booth. Have print screen if you want to see it.

I had another one too, partial page and hit return before I thought of a screen shot, drats.

angele, yes, please post the screenshot.

Here you go- only modification was to take out my password. ang

angele, mine would be like that, but for the entire page, even the logo at the top.

good morning darius :-) I have had my coffee but I still can't remember if I ever had one for the whole page. I think they have all been like this though. LOL, too much pollen has gone to my brain.
Don't know very much about Macs. Have only used them when I have had to. Even when I did some graphics professionally I would do them on my PC and then convert them. 99.9 % of people who do graphics use Macs I think. I really made a lot of extra work for myself. I was wondering; is the print screen hard to do on a Mac?

Thanks for the screenshot, angele. I made some more changes, so if you see it again in the future, please give me another screen!

thanks,
dave

Dave I have stopped receiving my PF Newsletter. I got 2 editions, june 10, & 11. None at all since. It is still checked in my preferences.
Thanks, sidney

will do :-)

So.App.Mtns., United States(Zone 5b)

Nah, there's a handy Utility to do it. You can even do just a selection.

sidney, I discontinued the Pf newsletter for a while (there's another thread about that in this forum).

in the meantime, you can still read it online at the Extras menu.

best,
dave

:>0!!!!

I can do that using Paint Shop LOL, didn't think of it. Don't know if there is a built-in utility, MS Paint doesn't seem to have a capture. will have to nose around a little. Have a Mac, with 10.1 I think, in a closet. Probably a dinosaur now. What made you choose a Mac? My first personal computer was a Tandy with the big discs. Used to do the price controls for a grocery store a long time ago but only knew enough to do my job- I think it was all DOS. Then I had a job where I had to learn PC's. Boss spent a fortune on that computer and handed me the mouse. Boy was I nervous.

In the beginning (Mac 68030, 1987) it was because I knew nothing about computers and Macs are idiot-proof. Later it became for graphic design. I'm only using OS10.2, but on a Mac G4, dual 867 MHz processors.

I clicked on the general discussion forum - no certain topic and this is what appeared just now.

Sorry, not sure how to show you a screen shot.

I've not seen this anywhere, I am just getting google ads everywhere.

Seattle Burbs, WA(Zone 8b)

I'm also getting the ads when I click on a forum, not the homepage

There's a whole new thread about Ads showing up:
