Hi all!

Just checking in to say we made the long drive from Memphis to Durango just fine and are having a wonderful time visiting family and seeing the sights. Yesterday we went to watch kayakers and rafters on the Animas River - which is raging right now (it's above flood stage = 8ft). Those people are NUTS! Was kind of fun to see though. Some really good looking guys kayak! LOL

Today, DH and I are off to Mesa Verde - so I better get off of DG and get going!

More later and I'll post so pics as well!

Good to hear from you.. looking forward to the pictures. Did you get to see Ouray or have a chuck wagon supper? Went years ago, took my kids and some of their friends, stayed at the KOA in a Kamping Kabin.. Lots of fun & memories.
Is it your first time out west?

Have a wonderful time-used to vacation in Durango-loved the area and the trout fishing etc. UM..I don't swim-so no kayak for me.

Thanks for the good thoughts. Today I was pretty miserable. Allergies, altitude, too much wine and rich food last night gave me a rough day today. DH did most of the cliff dwelling seeing. I stayed up top since I couldn't breathe very well. Besides - how smart were these Indians to build living spaces in the sides of a cliff? No wonder their average lifespan was 32 years old! Did see lots of beautiful wildflowers and all = ACCCHOOO! Going to head to bed today.

Angele - not first time out west -- but first time to Durango. Beautiful out here.

Darius - hope to enjoy the REST of my vacation.....sniff, sniff.......

Marcia - tomorrow we do the Durango-Silverton train ride. Looking forward to that.

I'll have to post pics later. DH has card reader at his aunt and uncles. I stayed back here at hotel to relax.....and secretly catch up on DG.

My aunt Bonnie lives in Durango. I've not been there since I was five.

Did you get my DG e-mail? I have your Minn D quarters. Our bank had rolls yesterday.
Yeah! Now it is probably time for the next. Bah Humbug. Atleast I found this one. One at a time right? Did you see the co-op? It has 3 days left if you want anything.
