Being an inveterate, not to say obsessive, propagator, I would recommend that 'do not exclude light when sowing seed' could be an option in relation to propagation - there are untold thousands of plants where this is a necessary condition for germination, and could help DGers avoid wasting their time, effort and money (though I guess most bought seed packets indicate when surface sowing is appropriate.

Just a thought...

I agree. there is also no option for soaking seeds. I was adding a note on Lupinus albus, which requires soaking but there was no place to put it.
