Is anyone here attending Le Jardin Botanique de Montreal?
For those who wants to understand the meaning of the toilet bowl, to my knowledge, it is as simple as it looks like one, it also flushed lots of our taxes indeed :-((
Oh, I see. That's too bad!
Thank you Hau! I love the look of the Japanese gardens and I'm kicking myself that I didn't pick up a Marsh Marigold this year.......they are very hardy but last winters temps in Saskatchewan killed mine. :( I also see I would've been spending quite a bit of time at the tropical booth.
Zarcanat, Panamoncreel and Hau thank you soooooooo very much for the lovely mosiac of pictures .......with them combined we have been given a wonderful tour of this years Le Jardin Botanique de Montreal!!! *Ü*
Shannon your luck has got to change.....I hope your Scruffy is doing much better today!!!
Thanks for your good wishes, Pam! And thanks for the wonderful pics, Zarcanat, Milan and April! They really gave the flavour of the event - almost as good as being there.
I had to feed Scruffy with a syringe yesterday, which was not much fun for either of us, but this afternoon he decided to start eating a bit on his own so he may have turned a corner. He has stitches in his mouth from where they pulled out teeth, so I don't blame him for not wanting to chow down. But the vet said he has to eat, so...
It's been nice here today, and looks like some thunderstorms may be coming our way so perhaps we will have some excitement. DSO lands at 4:00 pm from Saskatoon (via Calgary - ! sometimes we have to fly west to fly east...), so I'm hoping his plane finds a smooth path between storm cells. Now I have to clean the house quick...no more procrastinating on DG ;-)
Here's a live pic of the lightning strikes in the last two hours - this site is more up-to-date than Environment Canada, but only of limited use to Canadians as it doesn't go very far north. Nothing above, say, the Trans-Canada in the prairies. But not too bad for us in the east.
Hope everyone's having a good weekend,
Shannon

Lilypon the ditch down the road is full of the marsh marigolds. My friend has a wet area so we dug some up and they are doing real well. Want me to dig some for you?
Interesting Link, Shannon. Hopefully you won't have too many lightening strikes in your area or in the skies where your DSO is flying. I know what you meant about flying west to fly east. When I lived in Alberta and wanted to fly to visit my daughter in the Penticton area, I had to fly to Vancouver, then change planes and fly back east to Penticton. Crazy the way it works sometimes, isn't it?
Glad to hear Scruffy is feeling up to eating a little bit on his own. Poor little guy. I know how I felt when I had my wisdom teeth pulled so he has all my sympathy. (((Scruffy)))
It is crazy sometimes! Once when I was flying from Victoria to Edmonton I had to go from Victoria to Prince George (which is further north than Edmonton) and then down to Calgary, change planes in Calgary, and up to Edmonton. The price must have been worth it or something; I can't remember. It was kind of neat to see Prince George for the first time though, even if it was just from the airplane.
DSO had a smooth landing...the storms had passed us by, headed eastwards. Looking at the lightning map tonight, SE Texas is getting whalloped. They're heading into tornado season, so fingers crossed for a safe summer for everyone down there.
Scruffy says thanks for the hugs. He turned up his nose at eating again tonight, so got the syringe treatment - bleah. He's on my lap now though, so all may be forgiven before the night's out. I remember getting my wisdoms out too...trying to eat a few muffin crumbs....living on milkshakes... (actually, that part wasn't too bad! ;-) ... but you just feel miserable for a few days.
Now, what was this thread about again?...lolol Oh yeah... Zarcanat, I just love your photo of the tulips. Thanks for all the great photos, everyone!

It's the Olympic Stadium........but I'll let Milan explain why he calls it that
Yup it's the Olympic Stadium and from the air it just looks like a giant toilet bowl, from the ground more like an flying saucer that sits on the ground :)
LOL...makes you wonder where they get these design architects, huh?
The question to ask is what where those architects smoking at the time? :)
LOL
