Hi all,
I am from NC and here on a business trip with DH. I was so excited when I found out that we were going to be in CA during the time of the roundup. My husband works in Temecula so it is perfect for us. I have nothing to trade but I hope it is okay if I come. I would really enjoy meeting all of you. Is this okay?
JesseK
We'd love to have you JesseK. How neat that worked out for you. No need for trade stuff, just come and meet all of us and have a good time!
8-)) Janet
JesseK
I think it would be fantastic for any member of Dave's to come to the round up.
It's being held in Southern California, but not exclusive to Southern Californians.
And some of us don't have much or anything to trade.
More the point is to meet each other and have a few laughs.
Dovey
What luck, JesseK! I used to go with my DH to Wilmington when he worked for a company there. Welcome to So. CA!
Kathleen
Wish I could be there :-(
Weegy,
I wish you could be there too, the last real conversation I remember having with you... we must have been in junior high school.
Just a few short years ago ;-)
Dove
Jessie, that is fantastic. Don't worry about bringing anything at all. It will just be so nice to meet you.
When my DH and I went to the Ky RU 2 yrs. ago, we had to fly in, so I didn't bring any plants either. No problem at all. :-)
See ya real soon,
Donna
I just might be able to make it...where is it? DH has to work and I don't want to go alone...let me know!
Weegy,
That would be wonderful if you could make it. Here are the directions from Don to his ranch.
Sunsprite Warmbloods Ranch
Written instructions to the ranch: Temecula, CA.
Take the I-15 north or south from your location. Exit is Rancho California road. Turn east. Follow Rancho California road approximately five miles. You'll pass a bunch of vineyards. When you get to Anza road turn right. The first left hand marked road is Los Nogales....turn left and follow Los Nogales to the end of the road. If you have bad brakes you'll run right into the ranch....lol. Frogsrus can give the telephone number by email. For those requiring a map. I'll be faxing or snailing one to frogsrus forthwith.
You might want to check out the other 2 CA RU threads, as they have a lot of information also.
Hope to see you there.
Donna
Thank you. Is there a time? I don't know what I can bring but myself!
weegy. . .look forward to meeting you. Starts at 10AM or whenever you can get there.
See you Saturday. 8-)) Janet
On subject of plant trades. . . .does anyone coming have a Van Houtte Spiraea growing in their piece of paradise? Looking for stem cuttingsof softwood and semi-softwood, 2-3 inches long. They are supposed to root very easily. The other method is root division.

You're embarrassed!!!!!!!! I have nothing!
jcangemi, can't wait to meet you too. I'll try my darndest to be there. Sounds like fun!
oooh, kateliza, I'd love an epi oxy cutting. Would you like an epi strictum from me? Don't be embarrassed! We can only do what we can do.
Kathleen
weegy12,
Don't feel so embarrassed. I don't have anything to bring either. But I do look so forward to meeting everyone. I think it is going to be a blast.
JesseK
kate - have you tried the hylocereus fruit? if it's the sweet kind i'll take one.
naien,
Yes, it's the sweet kind. We had fruits last year.
Kathleen,
Sure, I will get cuttings for you. I don't have a lot, so the cutting is not going to be big, but it will root fine. There's a believe if you plant Epiphyllum oxypetalum next to Euphorbia Tiricabira L., the Epi oxy will flower faster.
Oh, yes, I would love to have the epi strictum. It is so pretty.

In Mexico they make a lovely, refreshing 'agua fresca' with "Pitaya" (hylocereus undatus). It's amazing......especially with a spritz of tequila.....shhhh.
I look forward to meeting everyone too. I'll try and find something to offer.
hiya weegy12,
Offer yourself! Who cares what plants you're bringing. I've come to understand that it's who you are not what you have that works best. If you must, absolutely must, must, ...bring something; Apparently chocolate is accepted at this gathering without question. So Hershey yourself down here for some fun.
best to you,
Don
Chocolates good, anyone want to trade a hershey for a symphony??!! Thank you and am looking so forward to Saturday.
Pitaya margaritas! I'll take one. I have pumpkins...? hahaha
ok, a hershey bar for a margarita!
Does anyone have extra vincas? I would love to have them, even baby plant or seeds.
Thank you very much,
Eliza Nguyen
Pam will take the Hershey bar if she can pry it from roadrunners hand and you are welcome to all the authentic margaritas I can make.
be welcome here,
Don
How are we going to trade if we don't know each other? I guess I will know when I get there. Since I am new to this forum and can't remember all the names, I think I have to prepare a name list. Are we going to take pictures?
~Eliza~
