Julie...it looks like a really pretty yellow...it should be a beauty!

Harlem, GA(Zone 8a)

I hope it turns out yellow too but I sure hope it will open up tonight, the suspense is getting pretty tense lol What do you think? Ya think it will open up tonight?

San Jose, CA(Zone 9a)

Maybe...I hope so...often it seems like when they are about the size of yours, I don't expect them to open in the evening and then they do.
Good luck...Margie

Zion, IL(Zone 5a)

I think it's time for a tonic and lawn chair and don't forget the camera!

SE Arky, United States(Zone 8a)

I bet, if you sleep in the am, until the sun peeks out, that she will be open. It looks striped, I'd LOVE a striped one - one thing for certain, she is very healthy and the other buds are precious!

Harlem, GA(Zone 8a)

Awwwwwww ty...I hope and pray she's gonna open up tonight...lol don't know about the lawn chair Blaine...it's been raining alot here and the grass is too high for me lol...I'm skeered of snakes and there's a wood pile back there, but maybe something red to drink and the camera in tow lol! I'll have my flashlight too hehehe

Are you kidding me Sherry LOL...I'm going nutz waiting...I think if she hasn't opened up by 10 tonight...I'll go to bed dreaming about her and hoping I'll see her in the morning. *sigh*

But I really think she's ready to open up...and it will be tonight :-)))))))) I'll be one happy camper!

Cross your fingers for me! And stay tuned....lol

Beautiful Julie, really a pretty yellow!! Yours too Donna!! Do they all have 6 tendrils?? I agree DonnaB, there is something special about the color this spring, many of my brugs have blue foliage and my hibiscus are electric appearing, really pretty and my pink, lavender and white pentas are so vibrant that they 'glow' at dusk...

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

hey just thought about something. If everything is having all this color Tatiana may bloom red. Wouldn't that be awesome. Come on baby hurry up and Y. Dorthea her sister has a Y but she is so tiny the blooms will be on the ground when she does

Buffalo, NY(Zone 6a)

I am excited for you all!!

SE Arky, United States(Zone 8a)

Donna, I really think you might be right...

Harlem, GA(Zone 8a)

Thank you guys! I love your rosamond Donna, she is so pretty and the color is stunning.

We shall see what she does tomorrow as far as color. So far she is great in full sun, showing no signs of any bugs, last year and this year. I just wish they would all bloom at once, that would be so awesome wouldnt it?!!

Gosh, I have to calm myself so I can sleep now lololol

Well Julie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Did she stay yellow for you. I am dying to know?????

Harlem, GA(Zone 8a)

Donna, her first flush, which is the last post above, she is still this color as of today but a more intense yellow. Will wait for the next flush to see if it remains the same.

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

oh you lucky girl. Maybe in fall she will bloom more yellow for me. It is 92 in the shade of my front porch right now

Jacksonville, FL(Zone 9a)

Ladies they are all very pretty. Congrats.

Milton, FL(Zone 8a)

We need some good yellows, especially those that stay yellow. The only ones I can think of are Whiskers and some of Gloria Lessner's hybrids like Becca Lynn. All of my yellow hybrids,so far, start yellow and turn orange.Either that or they have an orange corolla rim to start with.
Spray that one with some bright yellow paint so it will stay yellow.

Harlem, GA(Zone 8a)

Here she is on her 4th night, still holding her yellow, no signs of white. She has some brown spots probably due to the rain, not sure.

LOL JT. Even turning orange rimmed here in this humidity, it is a very healthy strong grower and does great in the heat. She is worthy of keeping and I really love the huge blooms.
