Lookiing for Plant Files Info.

Taylor Creek, FL(Zone 10a)

This morning I was searching for hardiness of Crepe Myrtle, before recommending it as a color addition to a garden in Chicago.
I had to click on several to find any Hardiness reports and still not certain what their lowest zone is.
Would it be possible to have a generalized conditions needed sticky in the PF?
I am hoping you are understanding this.

I don't know how we would "sticky" that information in PlantFiles....nothing is coming to mind as a solution. We have 3,500+ different genera listed - which would mean that many "stickies" would be created (somehow...) which is still a lot of data to sort through, although we've been talking about having a general entry for plants that are often hybridized, in which the basic information would be presented.

At any rate, when I searched for Crepe Myrtles, this Lagerstroemia indica entry was the first result I saw: http://davesgarden.com/pf/go/1/index.html (it just so happens to be the very first entry ever created in the old Plants Database, now PlantFiles ;o)

It contains the basic data, including hardiness....is that what you were looking for?

Yes Terry, that is what I needed to know.
I am glad you do understand this proublem.

It would be lovely if we could add basic info, like hardiness, to a group of plants. Evergreen Daylilies, for instance. ;-)

I don't know how to accomplish that. But it would be very cool if it could be done
