New forum question

Brookhaven, PA(Zone 7a)

I know that new forums get added once in a while-- (once in a while-LOL!!) I was wondering if it is possible for members/subscribers to be notified if there IS a new forum and the name of it-- similar to watched thread list. I ask this because I go to my Home- - where I have 33 forums watched/chosen but when I log on the # of forums keep going up. Since I am not really familar with the other forums- the ones I visit less frequently -- I never know when or which one is a new forum. I am potentially "missing out" on something that I otherwise my very well be intersted in. Am I making sense?

Basically I want it to say at the top-- "you are watching 33 of 104 forums" 1 new forum has been added- ABC gardening (whatever). Clearer?

Thanks!

Hey, another Ohioan! Howdy from central Ohio. :)

Oh, and I'd love to see new forum announcements. Maybe there could be a place in the newsletter?

Howdy buckeye!

WONDERFUL ideal. I know there are days that I only look on my home page and don't go to the forums page.

golgi---you're from Kirtland? Isn't that where the rare Kirtland Warbler (bird) is seen? Just wondering....know it's somewhere up around you, isn't it?

Thanks a million. t.

sorry to be off topic...but couldn't resist! :-)

Well, yes I'm from Kirtland, tabasco, but the warbler was named after a Dr.Jared P. Kirtland as the first one was collected on his property in 1851, which is now Lakewood ,Ohio. The city of Kirtland, incidentally ,was named after Dr. Jared Kirtland's father.Did this make sense? LOL!
