Yes, Dovey, yes!!
San Diego Round Up Part II
Humus, tabouli, pita bread and lentil soup. I need to find an Armenian restaurant.
My mechanic is Armenian, I should ask him.
Oh yes Dovey, would love to try some.
I've had George's potato salad when he came to my last RU, it is wonderful. Please bring it George.
Rusty, bring whatever you would like. You don't have to bring a lot of things though... I do like Carrot Cake though..lol
Donna
should i bring the vegetarian fare? i'm not much for meat although i'm willing to try everyone's dishes.
I make amazing Thai mashed potatoes!
OK... it's a deal I'll make Humus and bring pita bread for dipping.
Chuck and Norma Lewis will be attending. Norma dba Crassula Lady
There's a new thread called 'San Diego Roundup - Food' where I'll try to keep a list running of who's bringing what. You can post a message here or there and I will copy to the list. If you have a specialty, bring it -- I'm sure there will be a variety and any duplicates will be taken care of!

Thanks, SoCal. I'm learning...
:-)
Haven't made it in awhile, but will dust off the recipe and bring 'Choclava' to contribute to the chocoholic binge. It's a take off on Baklava, since Armenian is being well-represented. Will bring something else too, but will have to consider portability, since it will be a two-legged journey, first to Granada Hills and then on down to the RU. Thinking that one out. Can't wait to meet everyone, except Norma, whom I've already had the pleasure of meeting.
;-Janet
LOL! When you said "two-legged" journey, I thought you meant that you are walking!! I know Chico isn't just a jog down the street from Temecula, having had the pleasure of visting Chico a number of years ago (you guys haven't moved it, have you?)
:-)
maggiemoo. . . .
"When you said "two-legged" journey, I thought you meant that you are walking!!"
I thought about that after I hit the 'send' button. Of course I'm not walking, though I suppose it's do-able, John Muir left a long trail proving that, and not on flat land either. LOL We're heading down to visit MIL that weekend in Granada Hills, so that's the first stop. So, I'll pass on the walking this time.
;-Janet
lol! Good idea!
Janet, I've added your "Choclava' to the food thread! Sounds yummy.

By the way, zostropz is only a party of 1 now, I lost my date and her friend.
Mark
Me too, I would like to join. Please send me the detailed directions (I am not really good in directions :( ). What size of the plants should we bring?
Hi kateliza,
So glad you can make it to our So. Calif. Roundup. I noticed that you are new to DG, so welcome from your neighbor. I live in Huntington Beach.
This is just a big garden party, where we get to meet each other, trade plants, eat and chat about gardening, etc.
I have hosted 2 RU's at my home in the last 2 yrs., and we had such a nice time.
Here is some basic info for you:
Date: 25, June
Time: 10:00 AM
Place: Don & Pam's
What to bring:
1-your own beverage, but someone is bringing lots of bottled water.
2-a side dish ....go over to the CaRU Food forum and see what is being brought already
3-plants or seeds to trade....anything you want to share with others or if you don't have much, don't worry there is usually plenty to share with all.
Regarding the directions....glad you asked, cause I can't find them. Can someone please put the directions on here again. I did see that Kathleen tried to put a hyperlink on the food forum, but it doesn't work. lol
If you have anymore questions, PLEASE just ask, that's what we are here for. I look forward to meeting you soon.
Donna
Does this help?? 8-)) Janet

May 16 post from the host:
Written instructions to the ranch: Temecula, CA.
Take the I-15 north or south from your location. Exit is Rancho California road. Turn east. Follow Rancho California road approximately five miles. You'll pass a bunch of vineyards. When you get to Anza road turn right. The first left hand marked road is Los Nogales....turn left and follow Los Nogales to the end of the road. If you have bad brakes you'll run right into the ranch....lol. Frogsrus can give the telephone number by email. For those requiring a map. I'll be faxing or snailing one to frogsrus forthwith.
best to all,
Don
I think there's a map floating around out there somewhere, but can't seem to find the post.
Wow, I was perusing this thread, and lo and behold I'm already typing something without my knowledge. While the Alzheimer's allows me to rationalize when I'm dejavoooing..lol, I was curious as to how my own signoff wasnt' typed by me.......gotta love the right click..lol
