Trade Tracker request

Belfield, ND(Zone 4a)

This is not an urgent request, but something I hope you will consider putting on your TODO list.

Right after the feedback tool was implemented, there was a lot of feedback given, but now it seems that people have forgotten it. Me included. I was just updating my trade tracker when I realized that I still had another step left. Leave feedback. Would it be possible to add a button asking if we've remembered to leave feedback?

I'd sure appreciate a reminder too. With the excitement of a good trade, I feel a little bad when I forget to leave a positive feedback comment.

Well, the feedback tool wasn't really meant to stimulate feedback for every trade: http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/450636/

Long story short, the feedback tool was implemented to help our user community quickly pinpoint a bad trader. I know that sounds negative and probably a bit out of character for DG, but that was the original theory behind the feedback...

Very true and understood, but I also feel better entering into a trade with someone who does have some feedback. IMHO

I always feel bad if I forget to leave feedback, because I'm afraid that leaves the other person feeling like I wasn't satisfied with the trade. I always try to remember to leave feedback.

If we only leave negative feedback, then the person receiving a negative rating has no positives to show people that maybe that one negative feedback was an isolated incident, for whatever reason. Sometimes life gets in the way of the fun things we have going on, and we have no control over it. Plus, you can't make everyone happy all the time, but the more you do, the better off you are in the long run.

The rationale behind the negative feedback was that one negative comment might be an isolated incident - but when someone starts attracting a slew of negatives, that's a big warning sign to others thinking of trading with them. The absence of feedback is not intended to be a poor reflection on a trader.

Okay, I understand. It's hard for those of us that do ebay to get that through our head. :)
