Strange plant names

CREZIERES, France(Zone 8a)

I have just encountered the strangest-named plant I can remember. I was looking up Romanzoffia unalaschcensis (which I am hoping to grow in my rockery) and on a government website about the flora of the area around the Bering Sea, I found reference to Aphragmus escholzianus which rejoices under the common name of 'Eschscholz's little nightmare'.
But I am sure some DGers know of funnier names than that...

Oklahoma City, OK(Zone 7a)

Spreading Dogbane - Apocynum androsaemifolium
Variegated Devil's Backbone - Pedilanthus tithymaloides
Threadleaf snakeweed - Gutierrezia microcephala

Those are three that have strange common names AND strange botanical names. :)

Timberlea, NS(Zone 6a)

Anacyclus depressus---sounds like it needs some Prozac. ; )
