Plant Tracking Software

Royston, GA(Zone 7b)

I don't know if anyone else does this but I have been looking for a good plant database program. (posted this also in computer talk..but its really not a computer question....)

Just in case anyone else is looking for one, I have found these:

My Garden Journal: http://www.download.com/My-Garden-Journal/3000-2130_4-6209162.html?tag=lst-0-5

Garden Organizer Deluxe: http://www.download.com/Garden-Organizer-Deluxe/3000-2056_4-10335280.html?tag=lst-0-8
Gardener's Journal Premium: http://www.download.com/Gardener-s-Journal-Premium/3000-2130_4-10239336.html?tag=lst-0-24

Garden Tracks: http://www.auburnsoftware.com/default.asp?rcdid=19&Prodid=1013

Grow it Gold: http://www.taoherbfarm.com/

The Seed Program: http://www.cniche.com/seed/index.htm

3D Garden Composer: http://www.gardencomposer.com/

Some of them have free trials, some not. I am giving Garden Tracks a try now. Hoping that it will suit my needs. its better than trying to type everything in Word lol.

Have you tried using the garden journal here? Go to "Your Journal" tab on top of the home page. I've been working on my journal, so feel free to click on my name, go to Joan's journal, and see how I have mine set up.

I bought Garden Tracker and like it OK, although it is not intuitive enough for my taste. I still have to remember to use the darn thing!! The web address is www.gardentracker.com

I think we have most of those programs listed in the Watchdog: http://davesgarden.com/gwd/advanced.php?category=86

Please be sure to add your opinion of those you try out!

will do! (also should I add these programs to the list?)

I like the Garden Organizer Deluxe, but it is complicated. BUT! Considering what I am using it for, it helps me. This is a screen shot of what I have used it for and edited it for. I am considering paying for this (it is shareware right now). Only downfall is that you can't change the size of the pictures.

(I am printing my information up for a binder/journal for my fingertips)

Well, I think they're all in there...if not, let me know. (Some of them you have to dig around to find the parent company and the contact information...)
