please pray for my daughter

I really need prayers for my daughter,she has been sick and in the hospital last week,i know alot of you have be praying for her.She did go back to work and worked 12 hours yesterday but had to be out again todayto go get tests out hospital,Well toniht she got a call from the denist she has worked for over a year.He was not calling to check on her, he was calling to tell her she was FIRED,not because of the way she does her job,he said it was because she's not happy
Hello he's been throwing up 24x7 last 3 weeks and working
12 hours a day 3 days a week. She is just very hurt .
please pray for her A mom who hurts for her child

Herblady I'm so sorry for your daughter. I know it's none of my business but it sounds to me what her employer has done is down right illegal. If she does a good job then there's no reason to fire her.... Unless of course he's unhappy about the health problems with her pregnancy. Perhaps it's costing a lot of money in health insurance. There are laws to protect workers from discrimination and maybe she should seek some advice. Our thoughts and prayers are with your daughter (and her mommy too).

husbands employment and she doesn't get paid when she is off from work .she works antwhere from 36 to 38 hours so
this keeps her partime with no benafits. She thinks it is because she is having problems with this pregnacy.

Herblady, I'm sending prayers your way, but I think they was already answered. She now has the opportunity to find a job with a dentist who has compassion for all people - not just the ones who are paying.

There are some cruel rotten people in this world. I know your daughter must feel devastated. The hurt is probaly unbearable to her at times. But you tell her all things happen for a reason and she may not know that reason now but in time the good Lord will show her and she will be h appy and full of joy again. Sometimes it is hard to think this way in our hour of need but I have learned over the years thru my own experiences that this is true. Some people do not think this way but I truely believe things, all things happen for a reason and in time we find that reason. God bless and my prayers are with you all.

Poppysue, I agree with you completely. I think a call to the state labor board or an attorney should be in order.

if she works from 36-38 hours surely this is full time? i know it would be in the uk. That is soo wrong, i agree with carol7, that's terrible,

Herblady, I am keeping you and your daughter in my thoughts and prayers. and I agree that beyond unfair this does sound illegal and unethical. Tell your daughter that a whole lot of peole with their hands on the Earth's pulse are holding her up and that's gotta be a good thing!

As a former Manager, I will tell you that anything over 32 hrs. is considered FULL TIME! Also my advice is for her to file right now for her unemployment benefits, and belive me she will get them. It may take a month or so, and he can appeal it, but they have arbitrators to settle these appeals, no lawyer needed, and they will have to pay her all back weeks benefits. Tell your daughter to do this now, and she can start getting the bed rest she and the baby need so badly. As always you know you're way up there at the top of my prayer list!

yes now, usually if you wait it will only be harder. i don't think it was right of the dentist and sounds so illegal with all the descrimination and harassment laws out there. for someone who makes so much money he sure is cheap. i would contact the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) or someone along those lines to see if her situation applies. sadly a lot of the laws apply only to federal or state agencies, but there are special laws regarding maternity issues. check them out. to read about umemployment comp and related legal stuff go here http://fatty.law.cornell.edu/topics/employment.html it's a really informative site make by cornell law school i believe. most of it is stated in a clear manner. i hope all goes well for your daughter and her baby. and definitely file for unemployment that way she'll have some more time with her baby.

Thank guys,all your prayers have come thru once again!!!!
In the last 24 hours my daughter( Heather Nicole)
has been sick, went to doctor,got fired,a got her unemployment and still had 30 minutes to spare to
make it to church on time .All because you caring
enought to say little pray.
Thank you for giving me my child
back ,she's smiling again,and soon
going to enjoy being amom again
it's strange because I named her after the flower(heather)
and 25 yrs later I end up asking prayer for my little
flower from my garden friends.

Herblady--so glad your daughter is doing better. We will still keep her in our thoughts just for good measure.

I would hate to be pregnant and be married to this evil dentist.

Herblady, I'm so happy to hear that Heather got her unemployment benefits. I have a feeling the dentist knows what he did wasn't about board, hence the notification via the phone. I don't know if you plan to pursue this matter any further, but you have my prayers and support should you decide to.

Well the prayers are working.heather is now eating us out of house and home lol. She said the dentist sent her a card that said he was praying for her and her family??And that sometimes god works in strange ways ???I am not going to touch that one.all I know is thank you so much for your prayers.

just wanted to let you guys know that now heather,hubbyand
4 yr'old grandchild have turned into thiefs,We got heather
a pond kit for her upcoming Birthday July 7th. Well last
night I heard all this giggling out back and all I could see was a flash light!!I stood and watched a minute and
I could see 3 people around my pond getting things out.
I have to tell you I felt tears running down my face
as heard to laughter coming from robbing Nana's pondplants
I am sure there will be a 4 yr,old tht will snich to nana
today about the big robbery. lol

HerbLady, I am so glad things turned out the way they did. I just read this for the first time. I know she will stay well, especially now that she is off her feet. I had a little trouble with my fist prenancy, and I went on unemployment, I got much better. Had no more problems. I know she will be just fine now. It makes all the difference. Really, its insane how much pressure there is for Mothers or Moms to be , to work these days! I couldnt see a man working, in anything close to this condition!

nana I know exactly how you feel about your daughter and mum-to-be! It doesn't matter how old the kids are they are still our babies. My 'child' lives in Europe and keeps losing her unborn babies. After much trauma, pain and heartache she is now well into her 7th month. She has reached the 'safe' time and her little boy is healthy, thank God! I wish you peace, happiness and joy now and at Christmas time.
