A while ago we did a pollbooth to determine what kind of interest there would be in us producing and offering for sale some Dave's Garden T-shirts, and the membership was overwhelmingly interested.
Therefore, we proceeded in getting shirts made and as of today they are ready to be offered for sale!!
They are grey shirts (white would show too much dirt from the garden) and are preshrunk 90% cotton. Very comfortable and light (perfect for hot-weather gardening).
In fact, I'm wearing mine right now. :-)
We are offering them at $12 per shirt. Texas residents will have sales tax added.
On the front is the DG Vine logo, and on the reverse in nice big letter it says: "I Garden at Dave's Garden", using, of course, the DG Font.
I'll be taking orders starting now, and will be shipping on Tuesdays and Fridays until they are gone.
You can buy them from this page: http://standardout.com/module/store/viewentry/9737/

Announcing Dave's Garden T-Shirts!
Great! I love it. I want a bunch.
I've updated the page with the link to the purchase area!

Dave - When I order more than 3 total (different sizes) I'm still getting $12 per shirt. I'm placing my order anyways as I want to be sure to get them.
Also when you click on "Continue Shopping" it takes you to the DG subscription page not the T-Shirt selection page.
You can put the extra $8 it charged me in the Garden Angel fund.
langbr: I'll email you and see what I can do.
dave
I have it all straightened out and the special prices work again now. If you buy XXL or XXXL, you'll need to go to a different area (and the page will show you). Otherwise, it's all right there.
Please note that the special price only applies to sizes XL or less. XXL or XXXL can't be offered for less.
Dave
I ordered myself 3 - this will be just perfect to wear to the 1st meeting of the new gardening club, which is being established in the town where I work.
Woo Hoo! I've ordered my T-shirt. Now it will be easier to find and be found by fellow DGers in South Florida.
Dave - haven't been over there to look but you might want to post a link to this thread in the Poll thread.
Got your email and replied. Many thanks!
oh, now I gotta order more!
I went in as soon as your notice hit but sizes only went to XL.
That's alright, got one on the way and we'll see how that works.
You better save me some! I only have one finger right now! LOL
Better yet, I should have asked you to overnight some for the RU! Darn.
By the way, you are as cute as usual. ;) And I do mean that in the most respectable way!
Dave, I'm not very good with sizes. How are these running? I am 5'2" and about 140 lbs. Is that medium? Thanks.
sylvi - I'm 5'1" and 135 lbs and ordered mediums for me. I ordered a Child Size but my child is a 4T so not sure if this will be too big or not. Figured she'd grown in to it if nothing else.
Dear Dave,
I LOVE THE SHIRTS !!!!!!!!
could you please indicate me the measures of XXXL?
If it fits me, I would like to order a few. In such case, do I just have to multiply the shipping cost by the amount of shirts I order?
I will have to buy a check at a bank or exchange house. Please tell me if they should issue the cheque on your name or Standardout, and if there is any special indication I should be aware of.
Thank you very much for making the shirts available to us and for your reply.
Hugs,
Ursula
Yay! Got mine ordered (one for each of the family members!) (Well, actually I got two for me! Shhh...)
The ordering and checkout worked great! Was easy to do. (To order different sized shirts though I had to hit my back button and add a different size to my cart....maybe a "Continue shopping" button would make it easier for others to add on?)
Also, on the "Order Has Been Placed" page, you might want to delete the paragraph that looks like someone has just purchased a subscription instead of shirts.
("Your subscription will be activated in 3-5 minutes, and you will be emailed a copy of this page for your records. Thank you very much for subscribing to Dave's Garden!")
Great going, Dave! Love it!
Just placed an order for me, SO1, and his son. Very smooth transaction! :)
Since today's already Friday, I guess shipping will commence on Tuesday, eh Dave? Not that I'm anxious to get mine... hehehe... just hope it doesn't interfere with your Texas Round-Up!
Regards,
Donna
Ursula,
I'll get the answers about measurements soon. The cheque will be made to StandardOut, Inc. but you'll get all the info you need when you go through the checkout process (Just select "Pay by check" when you get there).
The orders that came in so far (10 of them total) will all be shipped TODAY! :) Any new ones after this will be shipped probably on Tuesday (at the latest)
Dave
Boy Dave, are you on the ball or what!!! Thanks for the quick shipping!
Fantastic! :D
drum rollll, who out of the first 10 to receive them (I'm in there) will be the first to post their pic?
Who made the first order Dave?
I'm in the first 10 'cuz I got my shipping notification. I think I'm closer to TX than 8ft.....come on mail lady!!
I just got back from the post office. Everybody who has ordered up till now has been shipped and they are on the way (including one to Canada!)
Dave
Thanks dave for the quickship!
lol - DH likes his fitting just so! Me on the other hand am pretty tiny but the sleeves on XL's really help for sun cover up and I carry stuff in the front of the shirt like small plants or a few handfuls of compost with no worry about pulling it up too far - plus no trying to figure out whose shirt is whose :)
Man, they are selling like hot-cakes, aren't they!! I just got mine, too! :) Very cool.

Dave, you don't want to give us your height/weight and what size you are wearing do you? LOL I am having trouble deciding since I am so small. Do you know if the Childs large is a 12/14 or 14/16?
I see a lot of folks want measurements - I'll get Trish to measure these over the weekend!
dave
Thanks, Dave & Trish!
Ursula
They are so nice.. got three, one for mom, hubby, and me.. That way we can find each other..lol..
Dave,
they are really nice. Thanks. I missed the cups, but I sure didn't want to miss this.
I think those are just beautiful. I especially love the large slogan on the back, the color that won't show dirt and, most of all, the good looking model.
Hey Dave,
I got my order confirmation, but thought i could by pay check doing an ACH. ....is there anyway to change my payment option to pay by debit instead?
Thanks
Jen
Jen,
Does your debit have a VISA or Mastercard logo on it? If yes, you can go back and replace your order (just discard the old one if you haven't paid it) and just select "Credit Card" and you can use your debit card that way.
The debit card has to have the logo, though. If not, I think you can use ACH through the PayPal option.
Dave
I ordered mine!!!!
Thanks Dave, it does have the logo. I'll go back and redo it, if you need to void the first order.
Woohooo I ordered my t-shirt cant wait to get it :)
just saw the shirts had to have two one for good and the other to work in for some reason every thing i do get on the front of my shirt eat drink you all know
I ordered three XL. Two for me because I like them big and roomy outside. Like Dea, I carry stuff in the front of my shirt. The third is for DH, and if it doesn't fit him, then I'll keep that one too and I'll order him a bigger one.
I just ordered 2 shirts, and I am thrilled. Couldn't use my debit card, it was refused, so paid by PayPal, and am really looking forward to getting my shirts. Dotti
A baseball hat would be good, too. Hint, hint! ;-)
Yep, hats would be really cool! Hint hint x2 :-)
