I think he wants something

Zone 6, OH(Zone 6a)

Boy, look at that pathetic look on his face. ;) He must be trying to get something from me. How could I refuse a sad look like that! hehe Actually, I think he was just a little confused about that big black thing I had stuck to my face (the camera).

LOL, what a face! It still blows me away how he looks EXACTLY like you! :)

I doubt he's confused though. I think by one month old, most babies think the camera is a member of the family! :)

Edgewater, MD(Zone 7a)

He is soooo cute.

I love baby hands and feet, so tiny. Im also guilty of smelling and rubbing baby heads alot. Give him a sniff and a rub for me.

Zone 6, OH(Zone 6a)

:) Thanks

Hmmm....hard to say who he'll look more like when he gets older since that's when it'll really show. For now I guess he does look pretty much like me. His hair is a little dark though. Mine was very light when I was a child.

I think hes you all over again. I wouldnt worry about the hair color. My oldest DD had very dark hair when she was born and it soon turned into the lightest blonde. Now shes a dirty blonde, LOL. Maybe thats why she takes so many showers.

Zone 6, OH(Zone 6a)

Well I'm a dirty/sandy blonde now...but with more and more gray :( I swear that little boy melts my heart. The more alert and active he gets, the more I think about and worry about him. I just don't want anything to happen to him. He was 2 months premature when born, but we've been very fortunate with his health. He's had no more than ONE mild cold with congestion since he was born and that's it! He's been very healthy.

HC, he is adorable. how about one of your baby pictures beside his?

Zone 6, OH(Zone 6a)

I don't have time to make another side-by-side today, but here's one of me as a baby. I think I posted this before on a thread about Allan...

I think he is sad because he can't go to the local RU and hang out with the chicks!

Zone 6, OH(Zone 6a)

Maybe that's it....lol

Gosh...I looked at Alans picture and thought, boy he sure looks like Jon, and then thought to myself, how can I say that??? LOL, but I know I've seen pictures of you before, and i think its funny that they have remained registered in my brain so that I could make that distinction....funny isnt that?
Alan is growing up nicely, he is soooo cute. You'd never know he was a premie, he looks so helathy, knock on wood, (IN turkey at this point in the conversation we would be saying that he needs an evil eye to ward off the evil spirits, and they dont believe in too much praise as they believe it jinxes the baby - and they always say after a compliment MASHALLAH - to negate any bad vibes...or something like that...)

Alan is a treasure for sure, keep posting his photos, I love seeing his progress.
Oh yeah, and thanks for sharing :)

Thank you :)

hczone6, afraid to say you have passed on to the next generation something of yourself. It is a responsability but more of a pure joy. I hope you feel that way. Best wishes in raising the next version of YOU. Frank

Is he laughing at you? Sure looks like it! I'm sure he thinks the camera is a part of your body! hee hee! Cute ones!!

Zone 6, OH(Zone 6a)

One thing I can say about him is, he does seem to be a happy baby :) Sure, he gets fussy sometimes, but it's easy to make him laugh out loud. It's funny to here that!

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

That's a good thing! Especially since he was so 'cranky' for awhile!

N.C. Mts., NC(Zone 6b)

He does look like a happy baby and a beautiful one too. Yes, boys can be beautiful.

Zone 6, OH(Zone 6a)

Ok, here are a few more videos. The first is him laughing. He really gets going sometimes and this is only part of how good he laughs. I'll really bust his belly sometimes. :)

Oh, how sweet. You know he was telling a "good story" and is so proud of himself.

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

That second one was so sweet!!! Made me want to pick him up.

:)
Thanks!

Jon, what a treasure, then I watched the videos, he got me laughing right along with him in the first one, and in the second one, he really is telling you a story...Thanks for brightening up my day! I was feeling kind of sad thinking about how much longer I have to wait to see my son (49 days) then watched your video and it just kind of lifted my spirits....You are too kind to share your Alan with us...
keep it up, and kep a smile on our faces.
cheers

Thank you. The older and more responsive he gets with age, the more I worry about him and the more I get attached. He's just the cutest little thing around :) I love that little guy so much :)

Jon, last night DH and I were out at dinner, and we got to talking bout our children and how much we love them and worry about them, they are 15 and 17, you never quit worrying, you trade one worry in for another, we got so sappy last night talking about our kids....here we were both of us tearing up, and him saying to me, dont you dare cry, do not cry, you will not cry....well, what do you think I did? raising kids is the hardest thing I have done, leaving one back in the states is like a slow death, we were talking about how if something were to happen to one of he children it would kill us, of course not having one here with us is killing us too... We often marvel at our kids and how they have turned out, they are both so different from each other, we love them both to death, and I fondly remember the days when they were he age of your Allan. I used to lie in bed just thinking about them, and what if something happend, Jon, I would work myself into a frenzy and start crying over something that i just imagined might (in a million years) happen. Once I let my daughter go to the county fair with a friend and her family, (she was about 7 or 8) I fretted the entire time, and was in tears thinking of all the things that could happen, but of course she came home safe as can be, but you can let your mind wander and that isnt very good.........you could turn into a basket case like me...lol....
Enjoy Allan, he is a treasure.

Loveland, CO(Zone 5b)

I'm not so much of a worrier as a sit-back-and-enjoy-er :) Your pictures and videos have revamped all my maternity :) LOL The first few years are pretty magical...now she's three and she's being a stinker...still great, but in a different way! haha :) Your images have my eggs all in an uproar though LOL...I just had a birthday and am having baby fever :) haha

Thanks for sharing :)
