One of our DG Members has passed away.

Villa Rica, GA(Zone 7a)

I'm not sure how many of you knew her but her name was TraciS.
She didn't post much I don't think but I do know that she made several friends here.
She use to be my next door neighbor for about 10 years and then she moved off, but we were still best of friends for 13years.
She and I use to garden together and if she got a new flower she made sure I got part of it, and I done her the same way. Our gardens were nearly the exact same :)
Anyway I wanted to let you all know and I promised her husband that I wouldn't put his address or info anywhere on here, but your thoughts will be welcomed. He is a total wreck. They didn't have much money and being young they weren't prepared for this at all. The local churches are trying to help him and all but with thoughts and prayers coming from all ya'll I'm sure it will help out too.
I feel such a void in my life now, its hard to even get thru this. I don't want to go into details as how exactly it happened. I just have to keep telling myself that God has better plans for her and she'll be better off with him that here with us.

Thank you all in advance for your thoughts and prayers.

Mollybee: I am so very sorry for your loss, for Traci's husband & family and all those who knew her. I remember Traci posting on the tomato forum, and though I can't claim to have known her, I feel sad to have lost a member of our DG community. Please pass along my condolences to her husband and family.

And send my condolences as well. Any death is sad, but one passing at a young age always seems to be even more so.

Belfield, ND(Zone 4a)

My thoughts and prayers will be with you all through this difficult time.

Mollybee, I sent you an email.

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

Oh Molly, I am feel so bad for you and for Traci's husband and family. I really didn't know her well other than different posts on ponds and other forums. I am truly sorry you have lost your friend.

Bay City, MI(Zone 6a)

OMG Molly! :(
I knew Traci when she was new here and we chatted on the phone a few times. We traded many plants back then. She will truly be missed in my heart, but I know she is at peace now and no more suffering!

I will pray for all of those she left behind that they might find comfort and peace.

Maben, MS(Zone 7b)

Do you suppose we could help with expenses somehow? Did she have children at home?

Lenexa, KS(Zone 6a)

Sending my prayers to you, Molly, as well as Traci's family. I didn't know her here on DG, but your description of her sounds like so many of my DG friends that I easily could have known her. May the comfort of our Lord fill the emptiness you feel in your heart.

Crossville, TN

I am so sorry to hear of her passing...Did she get to finish the Designer Painting job she started? She was so excited about it. I hope so, and there will be something permanent in her memory. Jo

Thank you for letting us know about this. I will certainly pray for you, her husband and everyone who has been touched by her life.

Payneville, KY(Zone 7a)

Mollybee, Thanks for letting us know about TraciS. I was in shock reading this; I remember just a month ago she was posting about her "G-Q" husband and how proud she was of him. That great picture of them at his company party. A sure example of what a difference a day makes.

As you know, I am one of the moderators on the Memory Garden forum and while you think she may not have been very involved here at DG, she touched more hearts than you will know. We prayed with her when her brother passed away and again when she recently lost a family member to breast cancer. Her life certainly didn't appear to be a easy road, but she was admired by many here. We would like to memorialize her and will respect the wishes of her DH, but if there is anything that we can post on her thread to remember her, will you please let us know? Also, if there is anything we can do to help out her DH, take up a collection, send it in care of you or send cards to you to give to him, that would be wonderful.

We know you are hurting right now and I don't mean to sound insensitive, forgive me if it comes across that way. May God Bless you and TraciS's family and give you peace for the road ahead. In His Love, Kathy

(((((((((((((((Molly))))))))))))))))))), as you know Traci and I became close friends for quite some time so her death is a huge shock to me too. I hadn't heard from her for a while other than a few jokes she passed along but she touched me in many ways. If it hadn't been for her you and I would not have met and become fast friends. Hugs, kisses and all my sympathy to you, her hubby, her sister and all who loved her. May she be out of pain and in the glory of God for eternity.

Hugs,

Lani

I didn't know her, but I send my condolences and sympathy to her husband. May God watch over him and carry him through this.

Villa Rica, GA(Zone 7a)

Thank you all so much, this is so heart warming to see how much you all really cared for her. I know this would have really made her feel good to know you all loved and cared for her like this.

Her funeral was last friday April 20th. Me and my dh went to the service and needless to say I am still a wreck. I can't shake the thought of not having my best friend here any more. How am I going to spend my summer without her? I'm sorry ya'll, this is so hard for me to go through right now.

If any one wants to send a card you can send it here and I will make sure he gets it. Everyone needs to know they are being thought of in times like this and I know that he will be thankful as well.
