Hi...

Jon Carrol, one of our local columnists quoted something he apparently traced back to a post by scooterbug here at Dave's Garden.

Baytown, TX(Zone 9b)

I love those. I wasn't going to read the one about the clorox and brake fluid to my DH, But when I got to the "24.) 80% of Men who read this will try mixing the Clorox and brake fluid"
That is why I wasn't going to say anything . I couldn't resist after # 24.

Vancleave, MS(Zone 8b)

WTG Shirley. You are famous now lol.

lagrange, GA(Zone 7a)

Still funny. I noticed in the google ads on the page you can get free batman tickets. I wonder if the superman cape comes with the ticket.

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

OMG! I have never seen that before and I am absolutely rolling here!

Tellico Plains, TN(Zone 7b)

Thanks y'all .

I did write Mr. Carroll and thank him for the unexpected notoriety.

Funny how he posted our thread and we posted his article back ..... small world.

'Chele , I thought of you when I posted that eMail ...... lol

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

LOL Oddly enough, people tell me all the time how Erma Bombeck I am and that I should some day write down all the funny stories and goofy things I say. When I saw that name used for you, I thought 'Yep, a sister in motherhood!'. LOL I think you have to live it to believe it sometimes. :)

Tellico Plains, TN(Zone 7b)

I grovel at your feet , I only raised a mere bunch o' five curtain climbers. GBBBG (just had to try for that last girl)

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

LOL And here I sit hoping that if/when we have more, that I either do not get a boy, or if God sees fit to give me a boy, I sure hope he sends them in twos so they can protect themselves. LOL

Lenexa, KS(Zone 6a)

MORE??? You're thinking of having MORE???

Tellico Plains, TN(Zone 7b)

Hey, look at it this way, if/when you ever had a little boy he wouldn't be complaining about hand me downs */;-)

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

ROTF I have always said I would like to have ten, especially if I hit the lottery. Normally I just say one every other year until my uterus falls out. LOL It's still there. (Sorry to the menfolk). Hubby knows we can have any number of kids so long as it is an even number!

Hey, so long as the clothes are pink or flowered....

Bodrum, Turkey(Zone 10a)

lol chele......hey, did you go back to work? was wondering about that and hadnt seen anything....

Oostburg, WI(Zone 5b)

LOL Chele - you're falling behind my mom - she had 9 in 11.25 years! But none of us are trying to beat her record, we all have between 3 and 6 kids, 38 grands total. The two DSs that have six believe in ur philosophy - have kids in pairs - but one ended up with 5 Gs 1B! He's a brat!! The other has 4G 2B - the only one she cared about what sex was the last B, just for bedroom equality! You have a boy now and you're gonna have to go for another!

edit - scooter, congrats! It was funny first time I read it and laughed again when I reread it. Truth is always funnier than fiction!!

I took a leave from Target for a month or so. I have so much going on and so much to do and the kids have had some crazy school projects and schedules going on and things here have been nutso with the greenhouse, my major overhaul of the back yard, etc. I may go ahead and take a couple more weeks or month off or I may not go back at all. I truly love working at Target and they pay decent for a retail job and the hours are flexible and there is that matter of the discount and KNOWING where all the clearance merchandise is. hahahaha They are extremely flexible with moms, college kids and people with more than one job. It's hard to find that.

I am doing hair on Mon, Wed and Fri but I fill up one day at a time and only work when I have clients. I hate for it to sound snotty, but I have too much to do to sit up there and wait for someone to walk in. The owner stays extremely busy and does not do walk ins and because of that, there really aren't any. When I get serious about it, I'll advertise and spend more time up there. For now I am content to do my regulars. :)

To be truthful, I am really enjoying being home more, actually being awake when I am here and spending more time with the kids. It is so nice to wake up cuddling my baby instead of that blaring alarm clock kicking me out of bed at 4:30 am. Ick

Kooger, six in 10 years was plenty. LOL I am crazy, not insane!

Clermont County, OH(Zone 6a)

Chele, are you sure about tht last one? LOL

Willamette Valley, OR(Zone 8a)

Sheesh! I think I'll go take a nap now. I'm worn out just reading Chele's posts! I only have 2 DSs and they wear me out. How do you do it, Chele?

Brookeville, MD(Zone 7a)

Lol. This was so funny. The troubling thing is I did a lot of these not too many years ago. Why did I think a garbage bag would work as a parachute? Why was it the funniest thing ever to throw a beenie baby into a fan and see how far it would go?

I'm glad to see I wasn't the only odd ball doing these things and more. Lol.

Congrats on the publicity Scooterbug!
