Plant Files photo of the Day

Taylor Creek, FL(Zone 10a)

HELP!
I receive the Plantfiles newsletter, and for those that don't know, it is only one of two Newsletters Dave will send to greet you in the morning.
My proublem is the same photos seem to be on a long run, over and over. First it was the "Ken Jennings" strain of "Mother of Thousands", now it's the "Ken Jennings" strain of "Corkscrew Hazel"!
Is there any way these can be limited to a 3 day run?
I can't imagine either is all that interesting and personally am afraid to look at either one for fear of it still being there tomorrow.
FYI, Ken Jennings is the all time record holder of winning one of Americas favorite shows,
Jeopardy.
Thanks, Sidney

I thought you posted this a while back?? LOL

Ha! My post showed up as a 'watched' post!

I personally like the idea (thanks to Zany or whoever suggested it elsewhere) of rotating the P-O-D among the various forums that allow photos. It might stimulate more interest in some of the less-trafficked forums if a photo from the forum highlighted every so often.

Dave, is there an easy way to specify a sequential list of forums for the P-O-D process to move through? Probably one forum per day would be ideal....with ~100 forums (not counting PF pictures, since it already gets its own P-O-D) it would take 3+ months to rotate through all of them, which would definitely give us some good variety ;o)

John, I have expressed these sentiments before, but Terry felt I could get Daves attention better here. Yoohoo, Dave. Just kidding, I know you get a day of rest today. Thanks for being such a good web master.

Thanks Sugarweed and Terry for directing this subject out tobe seen.

I definately agree with Sugarweeds statement and as Terry stated, if a way could be found to make each forum have it's day in the sun it could help all of us to expand our horrizons and at least once a day be exposed to other less traveled forums and people.

When a photo is highlighted it draws attention to that forum and increases the traffic there for a while. After a while this leaves one forum getting lots of extra daily traffic while others are not noticed at all.

Gordonville, TX(Zone 7b)

Well, I can't help but agree with that!

Taylor Creek, FL(Zone 10a)

Dave not another day of Corkscrew Hazel. AAUUGGGHHHH!
LOL
We know you can fix this, or is it a virus?
Actually just wanted to get this back on top for you to see.

Help here we go again with stinky hellobores.
Pleas Dave, Is someone manipulating this?
These are getting another long haul, and not ALL that spectacular.

Scotia, CA(Zone 9b)

From the lack of response, maybe we are the only two that feel this way? Dave seems to often sit back and watch the reactions to these things before answering. So perhaps he is still waiting.

Does anyone else out there agree or disagree with this request?

I for one do agree with your ideas here, and I plan to implement them. It's taken a bit of a backseat while I've been doing other stuff but it'll come up soon.

Thanks Dave. Time constraints are something I understand ;~)

It's just because brugs aren't blooming for everyone yet. ;)

Taylor Creek, FL(Zone 10a)

I actually like Terrys rotation idea.
Last year Cherishlife got 2 days with a weed and I got 2 days with a kong coleus and a dollar bill.
At least the brugs were generally different every day.
I'd say they all look the same to me, but I haven't had any bloom myself yet. I may feel different when and if I do. lol

Gordonville, TX(Zone 7b)

Whatsa a brug?

Lenexa, KS(Zone 6a)

Gordonville, TX(Zone 7b)

Lenexa, KS(Zone 6a)

Ooops...I knew what it was I thought Imway was trying to say they aren't interested in Brugs. That's me. I know but don't grow them or visit that forum. (ouch! was that someone slinging mud at me?)

Gordonville, TX(Zone 7b)

Nah.

Taylor Creek, FL(Zone 10a)

Here we go again! That corkscrewhazel is just NOT THAT INTERESTING!

And here I thought it was just me being picky... :-)

Taylor Creek, FL(Zone 10a)

Dave, how are these pictures picked, without seeing # of views, I am preplexed as to how some of these are viewed more than others.
Sidney

Sidney, I have to hold some secrets back for myself!! ;-)

Lenexa, KS(Zone 6a)

LOL

Gordonville, TX(Zone 7b)

Reminds me of an old Brenda Lee line in a song " secret baby, keep it to myself."
