Me too, please! :-) My only question is, should we supply our own photo? Or, should we just tell you the general theme we're looking for? We're still discussing it over on our forum, but would like to know if you're willing to entertain the idea of a new banner for us in the first place.

There's one great pic posted so far in our thread, and I'm sure we could come up with more.

I'm sure Dave would be happy to reconfigure your banner when he's got a spare momentt; I know a lot of his time lately has been consumed with making tweaks to the site to make it run faster for everyone.

At some point, did someone say they'd prefer to have the Canadian Trading forum made into a general Canadian "regional" forum? If that's pretty much the consensus and trading is secondary to the conversations on that forum, I'm pretty sure we can accomodate that request, too.

Terry a long time ago Liz suggested that the Canadian Forum be called *Canada House*.

Interesting name...can you tell me what it means? (I'm guessing there's a significance to it that isn't ringing any bells with me.)

And is the change (regardless of the name) something that most of the forum "regulars" would be in favor of?

It's a name that Canadian Olympians adopted for the place they called their home away from home.

Not quite sure what Canada House has to do with gardening. I truly think Canadian Forum would be better.

Unfortunately Canadianing Gardening is the name of a popular magazine up here so we shouldn't have that as a name either.

The banners are a lot of fun, but I can't make any guarantees that I will be able to put up any more special ones. It's just a fun thing to do sometimes and, well, it takes quite a bit of my time to create each one.

Think of it as a hoby that only happens when I have a free moment and need a break from the norm.

It's a running joke in our forum that there is occasionally some trading that takes place in Canadian Trading - the rest is general plant conversation. However - I'll defer to those who've been around a bit longer - I think Forum would be the best, but either is fine with me.

We're all pretty impressed with Joan's work, over in the Canadian forum. We're just deciding if/when we all want to go ahead with requesting it, either as-is or with any changes, and we're also working on a consensus on a possible new name. Thanks for your patience in the meantime, Dave! :-)

Thank you, it's a rough collage that I put together from pictures taken from the web. The question has come up about copy-right ao it's doubtful if it could be used.

I have an idea that if people from across Canada submitted pictures from their areas, then we could put them together. One of the mountains, one of the praires, one of maple leaves, and one of the Maritimes. A rough idea only.

What do you all think?

Have to jump in here to say I don't mind the banner at all. I JUST WANT TO GET RID OF THE WORD TRADING

I do like Joan's banner but if it is a major drama for Dave to change it, then --- Ok. Doesn't matter. 'Trading' annoys me GREATLY
