Nifty Plant File Search Feature

Manhattan Beach, CA(Zone 11)

A while back it was pretty neat when typing a search request there would be a green checkmark or a red X appearing on the far right. This gave you a hint of what to expect.
I will probably survive without it, but only barely so. Boohoo.

Lenexa, KS(Zone 6a)

Yeah...I thought it was pretty cool too. If I mis-typed something then I knew right away. I'll survive without it, but it was a nice feature. (don't want Dave to think it wasn't noticed nor appreciated)

Ok, then my eyes weren't deceiving me ... couldn't figure out where the check and 'x' went!

Dave commented on this after my similar question on this thread (see his April 10 post): http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/491804

I also love that feature and look forward to seeing it reinstated. :)

Gee whiz, I never go there. I thought this was the ONE forum EVERYONE watches.

*chuckles at Ulrich*

With all the help you provide in the Identification Forum, it surprises me that you hadn't also added the fairly recent Plant Files Forum to your watch list. You can thank me later, ya sweetie. ;)

It amazes me that so few folks actually follow this Forum, then wonder what is going on. This is *THE* place where you can readily get updates on site info and/or summon Dave's attention without having to resort to personal or "Contact Us" emails for general issues.

Donna, thanks, I did watch it for a while and got bored with it. I don't really know why, maybe because I follow the Eydee Forum all the time.

May I put a search question in this thread?

I like the new search format. Since I use the common name on most plants, it works pretty good for me.

But now I want to search Daylilies only for the named ones.

Which line do I use for the Name and which line does the word daylily go on for a successful search?

Right now I put daylily on the species line and the Name on the cultivar line. I still get nothing. I.E. Green Morning Glow

Please help

K, I found another way to do it.

Put Hemerocallis in the Genus field, and your name in the cultivar field, to find it.

Thanks Dave,

Just what I needed, quick and easy.
