Forum: yumyum?

Quoting:

Forum: yumyum

Okay, this threw me for awhile, but then I decided it must be a quirk or a way Dave amuses himself? LOL Before posting my garlic thread in the veggie gardening forum, I notice that it said the above. I reared back, looked at it, backtracked looking to see if there was a yumyum forum, and decided to go ahead and submit to see what happened next.

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

I didn't see what you were saying until I went to the Vegetable Gardening forum. That's funny!

The URL says "davesgarden.com/forums/f/yumyum/" ... Reminds me of how Jokes and Chat is under "davesgarden.com/forums/f/chitchat/". LOL

Belfield, ND(Zone 4a)

I though it was funny, and my post did actually post to the veggie forum. LOL

Now you say Jokes and Chat is Forum: ChitChat? LOL I'm going to be spending the next couple hours checking out the other forums to see what they say. :)

Frederick, MD(Zone 6a)

Look at daylilies :)

Yes, I do fun things like this to amuse myself sometimes. :)

Try mousing over the map at http://davesgarden.com/zone/ and see what names I give each region. chuckling.

Mouse over doesn't do anything on my end. Love the yumyum though. LOL!

Yes it does, once I click on the region. Duh!!

Victoria, TX(Zone 9b)

dave - after looking at the map, and your choices for the other regions, I'm surprised you chose such a calm name for the northeast...

*giggle giggle*

Everson, WA(Zone 8a)

My favorite is Louisiana.....

Tulsa, OK(Zone 7a)

well i was excited to see but nothing happened..Its nice to have someone who is a christian and humor to run things right..

Ottawa, ON(Zone 5a)

That map is a hoot! Hope43, when you are moving your mouse over various spots on the map, look at the bottom of your screen - if there is a URL address there, that should be changing as you move your mouse. Eg., when it's over Idaho, that line says http://davesgarden.com/zone/show/potatoes , and over Louisiana it's....well, I don't want to spoil the surprise....lolol

The address for our Canadian Trading forum is "tradeeh"....cute.... :-)

Shannon

Belfield, ND(Zone 4a)

That map is a hoot. I love it.

Murfreesboro, TN(Zone 7a)

Hey, hey, hey now. You KNOW Tennessee has first dibs on "God's Country." Just because YOU moved to TX (and you own the website) doesn't mean you get to take the name with ya. We had it first, we want it back. If that's not enough, let me try applying some historical guilt. Remember the Alamo? Do ya? Do ya? Huh??????

chuckle.....

chuckling :)

Scotia, CA(Zone 9b)

Well, after the last few elections I must admit that Left coast seems pretty accurate ;~)

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

I'd never seen the names associated with the various regions - that is a RIOT. Poppysue is queen of the NE realm there, too! :D

Frederick, MD(Zone 6a)

Yea - dave lives in God's country and we're still stuck in 'AOL' country :( **chuckling**

Moose Jaw, SK(Zone 3b)

I can hardly wait to see what weeds has to say about Florida. ;)

Is that better, Dea?

Frederick, MD(Zone 6a)

Doing some backflips :) Thank you kindly !!

Happily : )

Everson, WA(Zone 8a)

Hey, Ohio has to have more going for it then "North Of Tennessee" which, abbreviated, equals "NOT"! We are famous for our Buckeyes, although I am not much of a football fan myself, and I believe that Cleveland has been called the Armpit of the Nation. And let's not forget that the Cuyahoga River spontaneously combusted in June of 1969. Randy Newman wrote a beautiful song about that event called 'Burn On, Big River'.

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

Never knew that about the Cuyahoga River - that's wild. Gee, sure makes the water sound appetizing, too, LOL.

Everson, WA(Zone 8a)

Actually, it is a lot better than it used to be.

Ewing, KY(Zone 6a)

NoH2O, I thought the same thing about KY. North of TN. :)

Everson, WA(Zone 8a)

I guess you are NOT too. LOL

lagrange, GA(Zone 7a)

I thought sure I would find HORSESHOE COUNTRY. That is so cool. It does show a sense of humor. I often wonder what you do while the rest of us is on here filling our days with what we like best. But could you do a little something for AL. maybe name it TIGER COUNTRY for the Auburn Tigers going underfeated last year. Heck they didn't get any recognition any where else.

Maybe just for a day. Maybe the bama folks won't see it. LOL

That map is a hoot! I should make it as my Home Page, just to start each visit to DG off with a grin!

Tucson, AZ(Zone 9a)

May I suggest;

"Yes, but it's a dry heat"

for my corner of the world?

Keaau, HI(Zone 11)

I can't get it to work...
