I got an e-mail from her/him touting www.paradiseplants.net. I do not remember talking to such a person and wondered if this is some spam.

Through my own e-mail, so it did not come directly from Dave's but since this is the only gardening site that I visit I thought that I might have in some way or through someone given my e-mail.

Part of my being leary is that just a couple of days before I had another strange e-mail that I was sure was a scam.

The story went: a Dvorak family was killed in an auto accident on a South Pacific island. The firm writing was given the task of finding relatives. None were found so they were writing to Dvorqak's to see if I wanted to listed amongst the relatives. It assured that anyone they presented would be accepted.

No money was asked for but I am sure that would have come up rather soon.

I informed Yahoo mail that this was a scam and so I will not receive any more e-mails from that address.

So anyway my paranoid button had been pushed. I think next week I will respond and ask how my address was obtained. I was just checking to see if a flood of people had gotten a similar e-mail.

Anybody writes me I don't recognize I click the spam button and trash 'em - emails or phone calls its apt to be a scam of some sort. that new Yahoo spam service is working for me.

where you live George you should have nearby suppliers of almost anything... I just love nurseries in California. Where's LaPuente? suburb?

Hey how did La Puente get there. I always use Valinda. Valinda is between La Puente, City of Industry, and West Covina. A bit of Los Angeles county that is not in any city.

My mail does come out of the La Puente post office but that does not mean that I live there.
