"Spring cleaning" the forum intros

If you're like me, you probably breeze right by those little introductory paragraphs at the top of each forum. But with the flurry of new forms (please see Dave's note stickied at the top of this forum before you post any new requests!) I figured I should write some new introductions and spruce up the existing ones - links to the Watchdog, the Bookworm and pointing out related forums. I'm slowly working my way through them, and still have a few to do tonight or tomorrow.

If you have an editor's eagle-eye (or even if you don't), please take a moment to check out the intros and let me know if you find any broken links, typos, formatting or factual errors, or if you have suggestions for a better, more succinct introduction to the forum.

Post 'em here or send 'em to the helpdesk - either way, your feedback is appreciated!
