Posting Thumbnails With Link To Off Site Picture Storage

Methuen, MA(Zone 6a)

Dave,
I have a fairly large database of pictures stored at http://www.linuxis.net/gallery/chileman and would love to be able to post the thunbnail with the link built in to direct the member to the full size pic. I think it's < img src=http://www.linuxis.net/albums/End-of-03-Season/DSCN0232.thumb.jpg > < a href=http://www.linuxis.net/gallery/End-of-03-Season/DSCN0232 > < /a > (removing the spaces, of course). If that sounds like it would be problematic, how do I upload them to your site for posting....

Yours in heat,

Hello,

As you've seen, the system doesn't support any kind of HTML, or embedding/linking of images, but rather they must be uploaded directly.

To upload an image, just download it from the server to your hard drive, and then upload it to DG using the Browse button. DG will then automatically create the thumbnail and fullsize pic.

best,
dave

Oh Darn!
I believe I can "work around" this as I use a Sony Mavica & have saved a lot of my pics on floppys. Some I took with my wife's Cannon & will have to download them to the 'puter to post.

Tanks anyway,

Can't you download them to your hard drive from your website?

Ahhhhh, I guess so. I think it would be more practical to burn a CD as I have quite a few pics. Take a look...

For just posting on threads, if they're hosted online, why not just copy each photo's link and put that in your post?
