Just stopping in to say Hi

San Antonio, TX(Zone 8a)

Hi to all my DG freinds and family. I miss you all. I am working full time now running an art gallery here in Tombstone, AZ. It is called The Western Way and caters to western and navtive american art, jewelry, and pottery. I play navtive american flute music all day and keep a candle burning for aroma therapy. All the customers coment on how comfortable it is in there and seem to relax and open up with their whole life stories. I have met some wonderful folks from all over the country and world. It is a very pleasent place to work.
I am also learning how to play the flute as that was one of my new years resolutions. I'm not doing too bad either for not reading music. I play by ear.
Well, just wanted to let you all know that I haven't forgotten yall and I will try to stay in touch more often.
PS> Roadrunner and Farizona stopped by to say hi to me last week. Was so nice to see them both.
Love you all
Jan

Hi Jan, glad to see your doing ok. I was thinking of you this past week, as there is another person who has joined and her DG name is something like "TucsonJan". I kept thinking it was you.

Your new job sounds so enjoyable and interesting. I hope it helps you to relax also. Please stop in and say hi once in a while. Happy Spring to you.

The flute is known as one of the most difficult insturments to learn to play. I'm glad to hear you are doing well at it. The new job sounds great.

Hi, Jan - great to see you and to hear about your new job. Creating a comfortable and inviting place is great for both you and your clients!

San Antonio, TX(Zone 8a)

Thank you all. Yes I had a book on the native american flute that showed me the basics and it's really been pretty easy to get some nice flowing sounds and I have already composed a song. I jokingly said earlier this year that I was going to learn to play the flute in hopes that by blowing out I would counter act the wrinkles I have from smoking and sucking in. It's not working. I need to quit smoking so I have more air to sustain the notes. Oh well, nice try. Heheh.

We miss you, too, Jan. Stop in more often, ok?

Hi Jan...I will say that I LOVE your art gallery...it is such a nice place....and lovely things...I just wish I could afford some of the paintings....especially those of Ken Cooper....was that the correct name?

I took picturess of the place then lost my camera over there somewhere....OH! BTW...Frances and I sat on that green bench just outside your door...maybe it was left there and someone turned it in to the business there...about 2 doors up from you. Shoot...have to save my money for a new camera!! Jo

Hi Jan, Glad to hear your doing ok. Job sounds wonderful. Good luck with the flute. If you discover a easy way to stop smoking clue me in please.

San Antonio, TX(Zone 8a)

Okay, I will check with them tomorrow Jo. His name is Ken Coerper instead of Cooper.
Thanks oriole, I will let you know. One of my co-workers is nagging me to quit and she says I smell of cigarettes. That should make me want to quit as I hate when people smell of smoke. I am very self concious about that and always smoke outside in the wind so I don't get the smoke. I know that non smokers can really tell especially ex smokers like my coworker.

Thanks, Jan....but it looks like I am in line for a new digital camera...as soon as I find one on sale in my price range....too bad I can't make one out of a shoe box like we did the old type cameras. LOL Jo

you are missed when you don't post ,
come back and sit a spell

San Antonio, TX(Zone 8a)

Hi to all,
So sorry for not stopping in more often. I have been sooooo busy at the gallery but things are starting to slow down a bit so I will have more energy to stay up later and write to yall.
I am working on my beaded gourd at work as it seems to draw alot of curious folks in to see what I am doing. Once they are in there they start looking around and a sale is made. It is good for me too as I don't spend too long of at a time beading which makes for tired eyes and sore back. I spend alot of time explaining what I am doing and the process.
Well, I am going to browse around and see what has been going on in my absence.
Love to you all

We do miss you. I would love to see a picture of your gourd . How is that done? I bet it is gorgeous. I would also like to see some picture of some of the things in the store.

I love native american art. My DH has 9 of Ted Miller,s knives we collected around 15 years ago. Have you seen his work? They are gorgeous.

Come back more often.

Blessings,
Sandy
