Brugie, Maybe they are like me. brug seed killers! and they, like me, dont want you to know because we know you have put a lot of time, work,$ in them and we feel bad about killing them. two people here shared seed with me. one sent me four and I killed! them other sent me ten and I have Two cute little plants, that I pray I well not kill so I can share them with her.at the same time I feel bad that I killed the the four seed and I dont want that person to know. now I am thinking ! Either way I lose because you wont share with me because I Kill Seed or I dont report back what I didnt grow. I have not gave up I well keep spending the $ tell I get it right, because I know I can, because old dogs Can learn new tricks! yes I rambling so I well get Its just I feel Bad when I kill others work! and I think thats why sometimes you dont hear back.

Dusky you are right there.
I have gotten daylily seed from Hemlady twice and they all died. Did not want to tell her I had failed again. I see burgies point of view, you must give them some feedback.
Still have not found out what my shortfall was.
Was so glad I did not kill all those from Burgie.

I don't know anyone who has 100% germination with the seeds they grow. I would just like to know what my seeds do so I will know what to do next time I hybridize using those plants or maybe not, if they don't produce well. Without reports, good or bad, I can't make better plans for the next seed pods. It doesn't bother me to hear that you couldn't make the seeds grow. I've had the same problem with seeds much more important than my own. Imagine having to tell Monika that you couldn't get them to grow. Now...that hurts.

Pretty bloom Ted....congrats to you & Shirley!

LOL Brugie!!! I've certainly killed your seeds and I love you more & more each day! (Not on purpose though) But I would have to pass on Monika's seeds....LOL..... I just am not a good seed grower! I bet it was tough to tell her that!

Very pretty flower,Ted and Brugie. LOL, Gordon, you are too funny. When can I start the certification program to open another facility?

Brugie, thanks for the feedback on feedback. Some lovely people shared seed with me last year and I was very appreciative. I planted them in rockwool and many sprouted and were doing well when I had to travel for work. Sadly, my rotten cats must have gotten curious and knocked the top off that was keeping them moist. Apparently my instruction to DH to check on them daily didn't sink in and all the babies were lost. I do know that if they grew I would send pictures and information on the plants, but I didn't think how important it would be to report on seeds that didn't germinate, weren't strong, etc. I think this will be good info to others, too. Thanks.

I waited until fall to start my seeds. So far, 2 have sprouted - one just has seed leaves, the other has 3 true leaves. I still have the others in rockwool because I know they can take a very long time to germinate - in this case, the first one took 3 weeks, the second one 5 weeks.

Shirley, I hope you keep sending out seeds for others to grow. You have so many beauties, and I appreciate the opportunity to grow some of them out.

Shirley,
I have the other one that Wantabegardener grew out. I'm hoping I can keep it healthy this winter and raise a beauty for you!!
