Has Anyone Else Seen that Other Garden Forum Site Lately?

Just Thought I Would Ask.
I Went onto GW Tonight and What a Change...
They Have Made to the Home Page!
It Sure is a 'Surprise' to See When the Home Page Comes Up.
(Strickly Cosmetic...The Inside is the Same)

The last time I was there, it wouldn't let me in. This is puzzling, as I was never even Disneyed. I decided the loss was theirs! LOL, my self-image is just fine!

Knoxville, TN(Zone 7a)

There is a lot of discussion over there about the new IVillage Home Page. Even though we have had several threads over here about Gardenweb being a subsidiary of IVillage, it appears that most of the members over there were in the dark about the issue.

While I like the look of the new home page over there, it makes the forum pages look old and dated. Kind of like when I buy a new piece of furniture, it makes the rest of my stuff look old!

I won't waste my time even looking over there anymore.

Tucson, AZ(Zone 9a)

I read a post by Spike saying that he had sold the corporation to iVillage and that he is now their employee.

Okay, I'll be the dumb one here. What is IVillage?

IVillage is a public company that sells advertising spots - - and they buy up magazines, websites, etc. where they can put the ads that they have sold.

another dumb question, LOL what will that do to GW will there be a bunch of adds there now? just wondering.

Knoxville, TN(Zone 7a)

They have had TONS of ads and popups on their site for a long time.

Judsonia, AR(Zone 7b)

oh ok, I see what that means now

JesseK,
Ivillage is kind of like Lifetime Television but for the web. Maybe all that estrogen influx will mellow things out over there.
