What says SPRING to you? CONTEST

For my Brug Spring time means Lounging in the Hammock with his favorite Bottle of Insect spray and Fertilizer. Well deserved after a long winter in a cold dark basement.

I just saw this thread. This will give me a chance to get out there and start learning our new camera. There aren't a whole lot of things blooming here, but everything is coming up and the trees are starting to bud. I'm glad this contest goes until the 27th since it is supposed to rain for the next couple of days. I might have to go to Manito Park and take some shots there - they have beautiful gardens.

Harlem, GA(Zone 8a)

Well for originality and most creative and funny categories I will have to vote 'HANDS DOWN' for Kin!!!!! That is hillarious! And Springy...hehehe no pun intended...lol

Fenton, MO(Zone 5b)

Love the pictures, especially the bird pics of richteaz!

Crossville, TN(Zone 7a)

LOL Kin!!!

SE Arky, United States(Zone 8a)

All the photos are wonderful, I love the Spring Tree, BrugA, and I give Kin an A+ for making me lol!!! We are expecting 2 inch hail, or a tornado - difficult choice - hopefully, if there is a tornado, it will be high in the sky, taking all the hail with it to never, never land, up, up and away...

Greensburg, IN(Zone 6a)

I hope you all realize how lucky you are to be having flowers already (or still) it will still be a couple of months for us, after we get them planted.0I love the pictures but I am feeling envey. LOL

Harlem, GA(Zone 8a)

Awwww thank you Sherry and I also want to say be safe and I hope the bad weather passes over and stay's up high. I lived in Oklahoma and was in one of those tornado's and it ain't no fun either! I've seen water spouts over lakes in Oklahoma that skeered me but thank God it didn't do anything. We are blessed and are safe. So I know how you must feel.

Kareoke, Spring will be here soon enough. Just remember that. I can't wait to see your pics too when you post them. I bet you will have some great shots for us. The best for last right? :)

We just had hail Sherry! Too bad my camera sucks- I'd have gotten pictures for you. Muhahaha

SE Arky, United States(Zone 8a)

You are nice Julie and fun follows you!!! crim, that hail is awful - I've never seen hail 2 inches but I'd think it would be terribly dangerous, yet I've never heard of anyone being injured, just torn up cars, roofs and crops/gardens destroyed...

San Jose, CA(Zone 9b)

I just LOVE hammocks - they say "RELAXATION" to me! My favorite under-used activity.

For me, spring says baby birds. This is last spring's batch of babies. There is an awning over a side porch that has four little compartments. I call them the birdie condos. It gives me (and those Darn Darling Cats) a great view to watch from, though I bet we're thinking different things as we watch. I just love waking up in the morning to their sweet little chirps. We usually have anywhere from six to a dozen bird nests in our yard each spring, though we no longer allow them to build right over our bedroom window anymore!

Goldfinches are my best sign that spring is here. They start getting their beautiful breeding plumage and then dissappear before I get to see them in all their glory. As of this week I am down from 50+ Goldfinches to 6 today

Donna, they are on their way to my house. My yard, under the feeders, will look like patches of dandylions with the finches. They are so cute to watch.

Wow!

Spokane, WA(Zone 5b)

You people down South are so very lucky to have those kinds of blooms this time of year. There are only a few things in bloom here right now, and it's been too cold and dreary to go out and take pics. It was much nicer a month ago. But I am happy about this - our weather has returned more to normal. It was TOO nice a month ago, and it messes up my gardening when it's nice at first and then rains all of May and June.
