All mine are recent pictures of things that are blooming now. I think the freesia and the passiflora that I posted was taken a month ago, but they are all things that are blooming now. Here's a lilac from earlier today:

Are these adeniums from seed? I remember you were purchasing some that were either just seed or grown from seed and not grafts. They are really pretty Clare. I have two left from the coop we had.

I don't have one bloom in my garden yet, but I'm thoroughly enjoying everyone elses! Great pictures!! Keep them coming!!!

Hi Shirley and thanks! Yes, these were seedlings that i purchased when they were a few months old. I got them from Phil at Cornell University. Mine are over a year old now, and four of them have bloomed so far. I also started some from seed that I got from friends. I really love them too. Their bodies form such interesting shapes. Here's a good web site: http://www.tropicanursery.com/adenium/story.htm Here is a link to one of the top hybridizers: http://web.my8d.net/ko0107144/desert1.htm Here is where I got mine: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2352887754 Be sure to post pictures when yours bloom, Shirley. I would love to see them.

Snowball bush??? Man that is pretty!!!

Harlem, GA(Zone 8a)

Isn't it pretty though??? I made the mistake of buying last year the one that isn't fragranced like her's. There are two different types apparently. I'm on the hunt! YES Snowball Bush!!!! I think it is!

Olathe, KS(Zone 6a)

I love the pictures and talk of spring and I also saw the post reguarding Winconsin snow angel's.
Sadly I could only post a few crocus or I could go out in the yard and lay down to make "mud" angel's as we have no more snow.LOL
I do know spring isn't far away, the robin's are back searching hi and low for bug's to eat. I often wonder why they come back so soon as I see hardly a bug anywhere. Usually the Dark eyed Junko's leave before the robin's come, this year they're both doing there best to fatten up.
I haven't a single leaf on a tree, the grass is considering turning green.
Before I know it, I'm sure we'll have the air conditioning running up the electric bill and I'll be whining about the heat!LOL
I could take some flower pictures but I think it would be cheating as the only tropical's blooming here are under my 1000 watt artificial sun hanging in my bedroom! It will be my turn before I know it, I sure hope the Bluebird's and wrens find the new boxes I made for them.
Well back to starting seeds in seed flats!LOL

New baby plants mean spring to me! I always look forward to daffodils and hyacinths blooming outside (they are!), but seedlings start spring before it actually gets here and keep me going during the gloomy days when it seems like it won't ever warm up!

For me Spring says.........Azaleas. They put on such a beautiful show. This one is my favorite because it needs no attention at all throughout the year and always rewards me with such magnificient blooms.

Yes Franny that is a sure sign of spring for us in the south. They are so beautiful and seen everywhere.
