hey like to say im new to your site and as of today im a leech i know nothing but i do love plants im more interested in bonsai more than anything and plan to turn my back yard into a japanese garden right now i have a lava fig i plan train in a bonsai i read in a forum wher you can rasie the roots to give the bolbous look any help would be great thank you

deschazkody. . .first of all WELCOME! Here's a link to the Lava fig in the Plant Files, if yu haven't already found it. Palmbob has a comment there about bonsai use of this plant. Not volunteering him to respond, but beside submitting hundreds of great pics, he 'lurks' around the Cactus and Succulent forum and Tropicals, sometimes. There's also a Bonsai forum where someone might have experience with that plant (tree), also. Sometimes it takes a few days for someone 'in the know' to catch up to requests.
