anyone for a bit of volcanic ash?

Marysville, WA(Zone 7a)

Seems Mt St. Helens is at it again. Probably just a little touch of indigestion
rather than a big up-chuck.

*hic* pfooof

Oostburg, WI(Zone 5b)

how close is the indigestion to you, Robert?

Marysville, WA(Zone 7a)

St Helens is about a 2 1/2 hour drive south of us.That's as close as I care to be.

Oostburg, WI(Zone 5b)

Yup, That's plenty close! :)

Lewisville, MN(Zone 4a)

Does anyone care about this anymore ?
I googled, & found nearly nothing on these new eruptions. Latest photos of interest was back in 1987. There were of the re growth of trees. 1 pic of yesterdays belch.
Probably need people killed to draw the media!

That's probably true bernie. These minor dome movements aren't very newsworthy except to those of us in the local area. All the same,it's quite interesting to have an active volcano of our own, even if it isn't as spectacular as Alohahoya's.

Panama, NY(Zone 5a)

The media used to cover stuff like this as interesting bits of the day on Earth. What happened? World News used to actually be world news and some of that was natural phenomena (same root word as "fancy" - fancy that!), news of the world.

Anyway, I find it all very interesting as do my grandchildren. Keep us updated, from a distance! I remember the sunsets when it really blew, We are clear across the continent and it's evidence left us with some pretty spectacular evenings. Not much consolation for the lose of life then, butthat is as it has always been
