Wow and double wow. That's a lot of people. Glad to have you all here.

Seems like just yesterday, too. :) That spring I was thrilled to see my first-ever water hyacinth bloom, and I was equally thrilled to be on a website where I knew folks would share my joy.

Terry, does that trend reflect the membership numbers in general, over the last 4 years? Was 2004 a bumper crop all year?

And just out of curiosity, do you notice certain months or seasons (in either the northern or the southern hemisphere!) being more active for new members than others? If I had to guess, I'd say December would be slow...while Jan-Feb would be more active. ?

Anyway, if you don't have time for these questions I completely understand....just musing aloud, over here.

Somewhere recently Dave posted a graph of signups, and it shows the annual peaks-and-valleys, along with the generally rising trend year-over-year.

'04 was probably our biggest year in terms of new members, but every year has seen tremendous growth over the previous year. (Probably a typical pattern for a word-of-mouth/grass-roots effort. As more people know about it, they tell THEIR friends and family members and the growth is exponential.)
