Plant stands

Ellijay, GA

I am searching for a multi-armed plant stand like my grandmother used to have to put her African Violets on. It had a center pole and about 6 or so "arms" which each one ending in a saucer to sit plants on. Can anyone tell me where I might find one? I have done a Google search and have not found it anywhere. Thanks.

I'm not sure about which stores to try for new ones, but I see used ones around here at flea markets and once in awhile at garage sales.

smelltheroses, I was looking on ebay for a plant stand like the one you described and come across this...the auction ends in about 3 minutes though...but that is a good place to look. I think this is what you was looking for but only a wooden one... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=63588&item=7302583997&rd=1

Ebay seems to be a great place to find the old unique ones but just be sure to ask the seller about shipping quotes if they don't mention it on their listing. I almost had a bad experience once but thankfully I asked before bidding. The stand didn't look at all that heavy but the seller quoted $75 for shipping it to me from NY. The stand ended up selling for $19.99 and to me it wasn't worth it. I was sure glad i asked before hand. Some sellers add on a handling fee which they don't tell you about until they send you a shipping total. Thats why I always ask before bidding.

To answer your question, I haven't seen anything like you described being sold in a store as new. All the ones I've seen have been listed on Ebay. You may want to try fleamarkets & antique stores...you never know what you'll find.
