LOL Tonny.
What Brugs Are Blooming Now
LOL, Sherry. It seems like I am in the yard all the time, but I am always working on something and don't lounge around much. I do stop and smell things as I am working!
LOLOL,Tonny. Thank you:-) You are welcome here any time.
Everything looks so beautiful Clare. I love gardens with year round color and texture.
Thanks, Delecie! Me too!
I don't lounge around in the yard either Clare - I love working and being busy and hope to get back to it full time, soon. Having my staples removed tomorrow, YEAH!!!
Clare, You have a beautiful yard! Thanks for the pictures; only thing around here is snow and more coming. Enjoy that yard!
Bonnie
Sherry, you will feel 100% better after having the staples removed. I sure did. Just remember to continue being good.
Tanks, Shirley!!! That truly helps. I'm not a sissy but I've got 21 of those metal babies, and they didn't use paper staples, these suckers are fat and long - surely they didn't use a gun. No, no, no, don't tell me they did, whew!! I do feel great, I've never hurt and I have this nifty leg dolly to carry my ankle around, I'm so grateful it wasn't worst, I don't have anything outside the cast and I know that is a blessing...
Best of luck, Sherry. Hope it heals fast.
Thanks, Shirley. Good luck tomorrow when they remove the staples. Ouch! Heal fast.
Thanks, Bonnie. You stay warm and safe in that snow. It's raining again here today so I'm inside too.
You guys are all sweeties, thank you so very much, all of you! I appreciate your indulgence with regard to my 'chatty kathy' posting, I'll tone it down when I can get back to full time gardening...
Sherry, we love your postings. keep it up.
Oh my gosh! Clare!!! I have zone envy so bad right now...........You're flowers look awesome!!!
Sherry, your posts are a delight.
Hi Gretchen. Lovely to see you, my friend. Thanks!
Clare, Thankyou so much for posting your lovely garden flowers. The brug trees are beautiful. Enjoyed all very much. DonnaS
Thank you, Ada and Clare! My fingers just would not stay still - antsy over this doc visit, tho so many of you have told me that it's not that bad. Do you all know that we are in the company of 6 people, that I know of, that have broken their ankles. Not all active on this forum but all on DG. Another 3 in my hubby's family AND, my doc! Men, women, young, old and in between.
What you learn when you are in the same boat...
Sherry, if you are worried about removing the staples, it is totally painless. Much better than removing stitches.
Thanks, Brugie!! It is really silly for me to be apprehensive - I had drug free births before such was fashionable. I had no fear going into surgery. I'm really making too much of it. Just one year ago, my aunt, 80+, smashed her hand and wore pins, sticking out the sides, as well as staples and she assures me it's not that bad. So, I'm putting it out of my mind tonight and I'm going to wake up ready to take care of business in the am and get it behind me...
Sherry, I think you are very brave, and it is not at all silly to be aprehensive. Let us know how it goes tomorrow.
Thanks, DonnaS!
Good luck tomorrow Sherry. I am sure you won't need it though. It will be great to have it behind you. Karrie too has a challenge for tomorrow. We will all think good thoughts for you two!
Hard not to love that!!
Clare ~ Thanks for taking us through your yard.
Gorgeous, each picture! I am tying to control it, but I am suffering zone envy too, big time.
We've had over 6 inches of snow since yesterday, and it's still coming.
Brrrrrrrrrrrrrr-ito!
Sherry, hope that all goes well today.
Jackie
Great Pictures....Clare. Thank You for this wonderful floral journey through your gardens.
Wow!!! You have just caused my case of Spring Fever to get much worse, Clare! Your garden looks fabulous!
Sherry -- I sure hope you're feeling better today! And I'm one of those people she's referring to. I broke my ankle three years ago while moving. Jumped off the back of the pick-up bed, landed funny on the edge of a rock, and snap! From there, I instantly fell into a bed of grass burrs...we call 'em stickers here. It wasn't a fun day, nor was the 5-6 weeks that ensued in a full leg cast... Needless to say I don't jump off the bed of the truck anymore!
Thanks, Gretchen. Oh, my, gosh! That accident sounds just terrible. I'm glad you are all right. I don't do much jumping these days either:-) It seems that injuries take longer to heal the older we get.
Sherry, please let us know how you are. I hope it went well yesterday too.
Thanks, Gretchen & Clare!! My doc told me that if I don't go snow skiing next winter, it won't be because of my ankle - it 's ahead of time healing. The staples came out so easily that I didn't even take a pill - I was the 8th staple removal, that day, of the RN that took mine out, it was a snap, she's an expert. The RN told me that the reason I stressed over it is because my original cast had to come off (which is why I'm ahead of schedule) a week before the staples came out, so I had the pleasure of seeing the staples, and counting them before they were removed and and the sight made me a bit shaky, to say the least. I knew my doc treats lots of sports people and there were three of the largest guys there that I've ever seen. One was 7 feet tall, one 6 1/2 feet and one almost 6 1/2 feet tall, and he had the biggest muscles and and the biggest arms, legs, chest, shoulders I've ever seen, not an inch of fat on him. I think 'shortie' was a football player and the other two basketball, they were all in gym clothes and there for therapy. I know they were 'somebody' because they were asked for autographs. My scooter received considerable attention, every place we went, I was stopped many times so they could get the number of the medical supply place. It's my understanding that I have one of only two in Arky. I felt like a big senior, missing a few marbles, pumping around on my scooter, whew, even my brother was lol!! Yesterday was my first day out and all day too, with 4 hours travel, so I'm whipped today. I have a new orange cast, go back in two weeks for another cast change, and continue every two weeks until the 10 week course is complete, and I'm told I'm over the worst...I appreciate the good wishes, thanks to all!!!!!
I think I'm going to cry! We have SNOW.... Beautiful pictures. Thank you for the tour.
Sherry, I'm glad that thing went well for you yesterday. I just knew that it would. And what fun to see some hunky athletes at the same time:-) It's good that you are ahead of schedule so that you can go out in your garden that much sooner!
Oh, Datdog, don't cry! Spring will be here soon! If it makes you feel any better, it is raining yet again today, and the already saturated ground is getting more saturated!
Clare, all I gotta say is....your garden is "drop-dead gorgeous"!!! All your lovely flowering plants are greatly appreciated, especially for winter sore eyes!!
I'm so happy to see Duke posing with your beautiful flowering Brugs! I know he is a beloved member of your family!
Please get well soon, Sherry! Spring is just around-the-corner (so I'm told)!
I'm feeling great Shirley1 and I'm planning to start potting brugs, the next warm spell, thanks!!
Beautiful pictures, Clare. Gives me Spring Fever.
Sherry, glad all went well today. See you worried for nothing. LOL
I felt so silly being a sissy, Ada, and thanks - I'm so glad that part is over!!!!
