I just have to say...

I'm still a newbie here, but I have never felt more welcome than I do at this site. Everyone has been so nice, even to someone like me that is just getting started with gardening. They don't mind answering "silly" questions that probably have been asked a thousand times. The Seed Trading/Plant Trading forums are filled with wonderful and generous people.

It seems that there is very much a community here, and I for one intend to stick around for a long while!

Thanks!

Welcome Chrissy,

Don't feel bad. I'm also a new gardener. I planted for the first time last year. I'm afraid it wasn't much of a success, although I did manage success with my camellias. I won't know for while whether my hostas will return. Everything else....gone. So like you, I'm starting fresh again.

Your right about DG people. I had decided that gardening just wasn't for me, but after much encouragement, and cheering on, I'm looking forward to spring when I can give it another try. They've told me over and over that there's no such thing as a dumb question. So ask away.

great to meet you, and I hope you have a great day.

Chrissy and Jennifer, in a sense we're all newbies. There are just so many variables and so many different plants that no one can learn it all. The challenge holds fascination for me. A failure is just a signal to try again, a little differently perhaps, but never give up. We're glad you're here, and don't worry - questions help everyone rethink what we're doing. Yuska

And it just keeps getting better, year after year :)

Keep an eye out for the DG round up of members in your area, you won't actually believe what wonderful people we have here until you actually meet them, it's truely an experience beyond belief!

The next one is coming up shortly in Florala, if it's nearby, and of course you're always welcome in Georgia ;)
